Settings Problem, I'm Sure
So, I go to as an example, Amazon. I search for a product and get the list. I click on one of the products, it's not what I want and hit "Back". I get a "The page cannot be displayed" page.
It happens almost everytime. Any ideas? |
IE or Firefox?

And there lies the root of your troubles
|
does your system clock reflect the correct time and timezone?
That message MIGHT be generated if you hit back, and the content is set to expire after your current clock, but the browser thinks it should be cached. Although, it could also come if the other server supports keepalives and the keepalive dies just close enough to when you hit back. |
simple, don't hit back.

Probably a cache prob... one "timeout" page gets held in the cache and IE offers it up as the "true" page everytime you go there.
Clear your cache Make sure your cache is set to < 88MB may work.. DD |
I dont know what causes it, but IE has this niftly little drop down on its back button. Choose the page you want to go back to from there.
or When your on a page that has a list of things you searched for, right click and choose open in new window. Its better than using the back button and you dont have to wait for pages to load. - |
