Q to LL owners

Do you guys ever send an email saying that my free site was disapproved and will not get listed at your Link List?

Or probably, when you say it takes you like 24 hours to review, you mean that if I don't get an approval email within 24 hours' time, I just haven't got listed?

Count Zero 2005-05-23 06:52 PM

I'm usually send rejection e-mail with the reason of rejection.

LowryBigwood 2005-05-23 08:37 PM

Mine has the option to be notified or not.

Lemmy 2005-05-23 09:48 PM

I always send e-mail with explanation if a site is rejected.

MrYum 2005-05-23 10:10 PM

Yep, I send e-mail whether accepted or declined. If declined, there is a reason included in the mail |headbang|

ronnie 2005-05-24 09:15 AM

I usually send a decline e-mail, unless it's just plain stupid and they did'nt even read the guidelines.

Not usually

Pusher 2005-05-25 10:11 AM

Yes - we always send an email with the reason we reject a site ;)

Useless 2005-05-25 10:41 AM

I send an email telling you to fuck yourself for building shitty sites or for not paying attention to the rules or for using content that I don't find arrousing. Ok, maybe not.

I don't send rejection emails. I figure, the person already sucks at what they do, why should I push them even lower. I mean really, you've got to suck for me to reject your sites.

Jel 2005-05-25 11:52 AM

8/10 times I include a brief note of why a site was rejected.

Ann Omness 2005-05-25 12:21 PM

I send rejection notices for just about everything except overused/poor quality content (that's not something you'd fix anyway).

Pedronas 2005-05-25 10:11 PM

My script usually send rejects
globoporn.com

bartjes 2005-06-14 08:04 AM

I send a message on rejection and on delete.

Linkster 2005-06-14 11:57 AM

most of the larger LLs dont send out disapproval emails - or approval emails - its just a matter of checking your logs to see if start getting hits from them - remember also that some LLs take anywhere from 3 days to 3 months to get your listings in

Xeno 2005-06-14 01:28 PM

Although I am not a link list but a Link directory, I will always review sites within 12 hours. If there is an issue with a site regardless what it is, I will "always" reply back as to the problem that we found, and one thing we like to do is to also add a solution to the issue as well instead of just saying thanks but no thanks....I think it's important to let them know why and how to fix it. I usually won't delete the account in queue unless I there is good reason for it.

MadMax 2005-06-14 02:39 PM

My script is set up to send both accept and decline emails, but you've got to post in my thread here for an explanation:)
