Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day everyone. Since we moved all parades go right by our house now so, it should be an interesting morning :)

Kiss a Veteran Today :)

Cleo 2005-05-30 07:45 AM

Morning from the windstorm state. :)

Not sure why I'm up so early but here I am sipping espresso half naked at the computer. Not sure if I'm sexual suggestive or just suggestively nasty, maybe I need to shove a 2257 doc up my ass so as to be compliant.

Looking to be another nice day here but it will probably have afternoon storms. Probably going to go to the beach again before the it rains and I also have to check on my neighbor's cats and shovel their shit since he is out of town.

Morning all,

I'm recovering from a rather rough weekend |dizzy| so I'm not in the mood to kiss old people today.

Good morning all. The sun is shining! The sun is shining!

Looks to be a wonderful day out there, so I'm going to stay in here as to not break my stride.

Peace, out.

Jim 2005-05-30 08:22 AM

All Veterans are not old Fonz. :)

Ramster 2005-05-30 08:48 AM

Good Morning.

Contractors are upstairs redoing our hardwood floors. We bought our house 5 years a ago and finally took the carpet out as there is hardwood underneath. We looking forward to the new look of hardwood.

Cleo 2005-05-30 08:51 AM

No carpet is good carpet :)

My house has never been so clean and easy to maintain since getting rid of all the carpeting in my house.

I have one small throw rug left and even that will be gone after I get new furniture for my living room area.

Carpet is just a nasty dirt catcher with no really good means of getting it clean.

Buy a Dyson http://www.dyson.com/media/streaming...%20AD%201&id=3 - and the owner has that sexy-cool Aussie accent.
"so nothing gets clogged. Ever." I love that. How gay am I?

Nothing except taking the carpet up and putting it in a giant washing machine gets it clean. Try just vacuuming your underwear for a year to see how clean vacuuming gets things. I also own one of those home steam and vac things and all they do is put soapy water down and vacuum up some of it. I'm a clean freak and couldn't believe the stuff that was under my very clean looking carpet when I ripped it all up, can you say mold and other nasty things.

I decided that I really didn't want 6 five gallon gas cans full of gas in my house so I made a little spot behind my fence as far away from my house as I could.

Happy Memorial Day Everyone |waves|

UW - Jim & I both have a Dyson, so maybe you are gay :D

Long day yesterday - played a lot of cards, ate way too much food & didn't go to sleep til 3 or so. This basically means that I'll be on the couch all day :)

Good Morning
Its nice and sunny and no complaints from me today regarding mother nature, that's for sure.
Still waiting on my |buddy| to arrive. I think swedguy got his faster than I'll get mine. How long does it normally take for it to get up here to Toronto?

cd34 2005-05-30 11:07 AM

We are in that time of year where the forcast is highs in the high eighties to low nineties, partly sunny, chance of thunderstorms. I think they just record that for the weather stations in some bunker in Grand Rapids, Iowa and send it to all of the Florida radio stations.

But, it looks quite bright outside, birds are chirping, ducks are quacking, fireworks are popping, the alligator is stalking ducks -- I hear the ducks all quacking really loudly and flying away.

This one duck yesterday tried to fly, couldn't get more than a few inches off the water with its wingtips slapping the water each time. Then, he flew under a dock at speed and amazingly made it where he promptly landed on top of another duck.

Its the simple pleasures in life.

ok, back to coding. Deliverable due in 21 hours.

Cleo if you are going to keep gas for a long time in cans, you will prolly want some of this

|waves|

you can get it local at most all lawn and garden centers that sell lawn mowers. it will keep gas "fresh" for 1+ years

seems we are always on the lookout for the next big war around here |peace|

cd34 2005-05-30 11:29 AM

hehe, Cleo's Tank Farm.

You can get gas stablizer at almost any gas station and auto parts store around here too. Although, I also rotate my gas -- when I am going to fill up, I take the oldest can and pour it in the truck, then get fresh gas for the can. At the end of the season, I got rid of most of the cans and left 1 6 gallon can just in case. I suspect next week I'll be headed out to start my tank farm. :)

No long term storage for me. I'll fill them up with the same gas that my car uses if a storm is heading our way and use them in my car if I don't use them for the generator after the storm has passed.

I do use that stuff in the two small cans that I keep for my lawn stuff.

dareutwo 2005-05-30 12:20 PM

Morning all -
Finally looking like a day without rain - it's been over a week of rain.
