I'm hiding here for the second day and the weather is terrible... I just can't afford losing my backup computer to a tornado again.

I forgot about a friend visiting me today.. we can do so many things which do not require electricity :D

hmm... what can people do without electricity...

you can't order a generator online.
you can't shop because the web is down.
can't listen to your music collection because the storage server is down.
its hot because you have no A/C
can't check email.
can't use icq

I can't imagine what you could do without power...

How did the people in the early 1800s check email? do candles put off enough light for non-active LCD flatscreens?

No need for A/C now it is cooling down fast thanks to the mad winterstorm... and I can live without email for a while :)
I can sing.. or my birds out in the garden, they always amuse me.
I can shop because there is a mini van coming here and offers family frost stuff and whatever you need... not a problem.
I can't afford a generator anyway. :D

yikes...one good thing about the UK is the lack of most extreme weather
