Happy Whack a Mole Wednesday :)

Morning
Damn, I am tired and again, in a foul mood. :) I am going to be sheetrocking my new motorcycle house today to finally get it done. I have been having black top contractors giving me quotes for my tiny driveway. My last driveway was 600 feet long and had a parking area 50x75 feet. It cost $7k. I was guessing that this driveway would cost about $500 but of course...No. I am getting prices of $3800 and more. WTF...600 feet for 7k, 15 feet for 3.5k? Makes no sense.

Anyway, I will be here most of the day,

Happy wednesday all,

Today I'm gonna add some changes to my TGP, gonna split it up in category pages instead of the 1 general page it has now. Not real worldshocking news but it'll keep me busy for a few hours/days :)

Btw it's warm and sunny outside today.

Rocco 2005-06-01 07:49 AM

good morning all - hope everybody's well up :) will be here most of the day; got a lot of reviews to be done :D

Good Morning

Big Wedding here today!!! Lynn & Alex from the Amazing Race, yes the gay guys, are getting married at 8am live on the radio. It's been a big thing for days with quite a few people coming in to witness the event. There was a bachelor party Monday night and there's a big reception tonight.

I think you can here it live. Just go to hot899.com I'm sure there's a feed.

Fucking Morning Everyone. :)

Rained here all night. Really wicked storms that kept on waking me up. Damn I feel tired after getting a crappy night's sleep again.

Going to the gym after I'm fully awake and then back home to work and watch it rain.

Yeah I have a 300 foot driveway and 14 feet wide and a good size parking area, and my driveway cost about $14,000. Only one company even said they could do it right because of the hill that the driveway has.

I think 7k was pretty cheap for your first one.

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

We're celebrating my grandmothers, my step-daughters & my niece's birthday here at the house today, so I'll be scarce from 2 or so as I have to tidy up the Pool House since it's still a mess from the party on Sunday :D

Cleo 2005-06-01 08:47 AM

I've been wanting to put a circler driveway made from pavers in to replace the double wide concrete driveway that I have now. I got a few quotes last year and it's going to cost me 12k for everything.

Damn it looks like armageddon outside it's storming so bad.

I think I'll wait to go to the gym until after I can see more then a few feet in front of me. I wish my generator would have already arrived since this is the kind of weather that I bought it for since I often loose power when it gets like this.

Humpity Hump Hump Hump! (Happy Hump Day!)

Good Hump Day Morning!! Today's a super special Hump day too, because it's also the first of June!! Happy June!!

Already, there's only two more days until the weekend (not including today of course. . .), and the weather forcast here says it's going to be a wonderful couple of days. How's the forcast where you guys are?

...and that big red blob on the map at the western edge of the Gulf is dumpin' mass quantities on me. I think I'll have more |coffee and wait a bit to go to the store.

MrMaryLou 2005-06-01 09:36 AM

Good morning all :) Welcome to June :)

swedguy 2005-06-01 10:06 AM

Who stole the nice weather? 53F and rain right now |angry|

Torn Rose 2005-06-01 10:15 AM

Nothing like getting a phone call from the tour guide who’s all in a panic over the tornado watches we are in. She practically yelled at me to get out of bed and run for cover when I told her we were still in bed at 7am when she called.

Once more we are rained out, no idea how much rain we have had over the last 2 days, but I'm guessing it's over 6"

No big plans today, just packing and grunt work.

Greenguy 2005-06-01 10:23 AM

73° & sunny here today :D

Useless 2005-06-01 10:34 AM

Good morning lovers and fighters.

Would have been here earlier but I've been busy holding in my tears as my latest project repeatedly kicks me in the balls. And you wonder why I never finish anything. |angry|

This is pure genius:

RawAlex 2005-06-01 11:04 AM

Yup... 70+ and sunny today, nice... don't want to work, have to work, oh well... working on reseeding the lawn in back, the weeds pretty much tried to take over so I have to have a fight with them. Other than that it's a porn-o-plenty day today!

Alex

Cleo 2005-06-01 11:09 AM

Going to go wade through the flooded streets and go to the gym.

pornrex 2005-06-01 11:14 AM

Good Morning.

Well, its official: I got a cold.
I can't remember the last time I was sick at this time of year but even if I could, it would definitely suck. |angry|

Anyhow, I hope that your June is much better than your May. |thumb

It has always amazed me that an area that has Tropical Thunderstorms has no clue for water egress management. Even when I lived in Maryland/DC where we didn't get rain as frequently as here in Florida, at least when it rained, there was rarely any standing water. It boggles the mind.

I just checked my schedule, yep, I have more coding to do. :)

Cleo 2005-06-01 01:30 PM

That was an adventure. While I was at the gym the storms moved back in and the gym went on backup power after a lighting strike in the shopping center. Then when I tried to go home the train was blocking all the crossings for miles so I had to drive back north again past the gym to find a crossing that wasn't blocked so that I could head south again to get home. Many of the streets are flooded out so I also had a hard time finding streets that my way too low to the ground Vette could drive through without fucking it up.

It feels really good to be home in one piece after my little adventure. :D
