Bagel virus "spreading like wildfire"
Oh no! Not ANOTHER virus...
According to experts, this one is "spreading like wildfire", intercepting alomst 70,000 cases yesterday alone!! Read ARTICLE HERE |
What is this thing called a virus?
No viruses here. In fact there never has been a Mac OS X virus. Must be an inferior computer to be having these virus problems. |
Once again, let me point this out:
THIS VIRUS REQUIRES THAT YOU OPEN AN ATTATCHMENT! Do yourself a favor. Open a hotmail account. When someone wants to send you an attachment, have them send it to hotmail. Set your current regular mail to automatically delete all mail with attachments (not just move to the delete pile, but actually permanently delete right away). All of a sudden, your email is almost safe again. Also, if your using microsoft mail products, disable the preview pane. Only open email that you know the source. Alex |
You mean those zip files that supposedly contain sexy pictures from rawalex@lovesyou.com aren't real? I wondered why I never saw any pictures. Although, the popup ads did contain pictures. And those pictures look nothing like I expected you would look.

I like them because the file has a icon of a cute little PC and if I double click on it Mail tries to open VirtualPC. One of these days, after I duplicate VirtualPC's disk image, I'm going to let it open VirtualPC and see what happens, one of these days…

From what I can see, it installs a cool little program that shows you pictures throughout the day -- like a perpetual slideshow. Some of the pictures are quite persistent and keep showing up after you close them, but, eventually you find a picture you like and click and it takes you to this whole new series of pictures.
most pictures ask for credit card information though. |
