Landing Pages on Free Sites
 

I was thinking about using a landing page on my free site.

An example of one done my NoChexContact is this:

The example above has many outgoing links (although all to the same place with some to other places) is that acceptable??

Do any of you people feel it is worth it?
Does it increase your sales in anyway?And how do LL owners feel about them??

So it's sorta link a FPA?

Since it's linked in a way that it looks like (and is) a sponsor link, I'd probably allow it.

FPA = Full Page Ad

It's usually a page that you host that is nothing but a big ad for the paysite.

I had to start doing this because people keep changing their bloody programmes.

I end up having to change all the code in a ton of sites - or leave it and loose the sales.

Sterling cash have changed AGAIN but this time I have just a couple of changes to make.

My main spanking sponsor has just moved too and now I have around 200 pages I have to change the code in as they all go direct to the sponsor.

I might allow it ;)

Personally i dont think its worth while making a landing page for this reason as I can just do a search and replace on all the links that need changing.

I'm more wanting to do it for the following reasons -

1. More pages = more search engine food
2. More pages = more Page Rank
3. Could work to really sell the site (many pay sites don't always seem to sell thier site as well as I think they could)
4. Better conversion ratio.

But...

1. Could just not effect amount of sales.
2. Would then just be a waste of bandwidth.

I think overall though it might work as a sales promoter. Have to wait and see.

Trust me a search and replace is not as simple as it sounds as you maker more and more sites.

I think you will sell more, I did as a result of doing it. If the sponsor sucks and you are using you own content then you can just change sponsors till one works.

as for the bandwidth, if that grows then your business is growing - dont be affraid to use bandwidth, a few html pages and a hand full of images are not going to hurt you.

You clearly have a plan to get from a to b so it will work :-) try it and let us know

It definately sounds like a really easy way to change the sponser. That could be very useful.
