Review - Text recips
 

Hi there pimps!

I have always used recip tables and buttons provided by link lists. However I see lots of sites listed with plain text links.

Please give some feedback before I start submitting.
Is it ok to use recips like these?

Usually it is ok to use text reciprocal links, but you have to keep urls and keywords intact. If you are replacing image with text link use its alt text as your link title.

That's what I was thinking too.
Anchor text is the most important in long run. For branding purposes - images are needed tho.

I think you will see a whole lot of image recips going away here real quick - to be replaced by text recips - unless Im completely out in left field - theres a bunch of them where the LL owners have no idea where to find 2257 docs on their recips :)

That type of recip is fine for me. Mine have always been text, as I'd rather have the anchor than an image anyway. I agree with Linkster in that graphic recips will either start vanishing quickly or be replaced with logos instead of porn.

Yeah, new upcoming 2257 will force to dump the old stuff if have no idea about those docs. At least it keeps things fresh for a while if nothing else.

If you want to maximize your chances of getting listed then use the receips offered by the site. Having said that, many sites now offer an HTML based recip which costs less for you to host. If not available then use their .gif file and avoid any image that is hardcore. Some lists will not accept your submission if ANY of the recips are hardcore.

Oh, and Art...I've never had a site declined for using text only recips. And I've submitted a LOT of sites :D
