Second Recip Page - New Directory?

I've submitted a few free sites and got some listed. I want get as much mileage out of the content I've bought as I can so I'd like to submit to a second round of link lists.

My question is this, is it okay to name that index page "index2.html" or should I mirror the site in another directory?

Also, if you're a link list owner what is the maximum number of recips you'd like to see on a page? I've being doing 12-16 but if I am breaking them down and mirroring the free site then I can easily choose another number.

Thanks in advance!

Mirror it. Most link sites have little interest on being in index63.html...

Mirror your html, but keep content in a directory below the html files.

site.com/freesite2/1/index.htm;index.html;main.html;gallery1.html;gallery2.html
site.com/freesite2/3/index.htm;index.html;main.html;gallery1.html;gallery2.html
( skip a number for a bit of 404 type in traffic )
site.com/freesite2/bigpics/
site.com/freesite2/thumbs/

That way youre not mirroring the actual content and using up disk space unnecessarily, and not jumping directories which some LL's dont like. You could put html files in site.com/freesite2/ but then you'd have to have 2 different versions of your main and gallery pages because the files would be in different locations relative to your html, easier to just have exact copies of the files the only difference being the recip tables.

Personally I think 12 recips is just about right, too many more and it can look a bit cluttered and ugly, and it also provides a bit of flexibilty ( 4 rows 3 columns, 3 rows 4 columns, 6 rows 2 columns, etc. )

I'd mirror the directory for those that require a recip on the real index page, but for those that don't, instead of using index2.html use keyphrase.html differentkeyphrase.html use that for your main & gallery pages too :)

This is a little trick I picked up from GG many months ago:

You can have index.html, index.htm, index.shtml, warning.html, warning.htm, and warning.shtml in the same folder with all your content. Just make sure to add the filename on all the submissions and you don't have to create a ton of folders and mirror the content (for some LLs). This gives you 6 warning pages (good for up to 72 LLs) in the same folder :)

I agree with what was said about mirroring the site. 12 is a pretty good number of recips. Of course the main thing, no matter how many recips, is how well they are laid out. Just 6 recips can look crappy if done wrong.

I agree. I've used 12-15 but I always use a table, center them and i try to match up sizes so nothing looks out of place.
