what is resource limit?

my host webgemshosting has informed my that i am approaching my resource limit. and I have grossly over extended the bandwidth 1st day burned 305 gig becuase of traffic coming from thehun. what type of hosting should I use to submit to them in the future.
WTF?

Dave, someone more knowledgable will have a better answer perhaps, but if you are submitting to hun (or similar high traffic sites like worldsex etc) you better have your own box or submit using accepted freehosts.

Resource limit in that situation would be your bandwidth. Better check and see if they are going to shut you down once you reach it or if they are going to just bill you for the overages.

Useless Warrior, when I started out, I had a similar problem. In my case, the resource limit had nothing to do with bw, rather with CPU usage and port usage. Hun hung up the CPU and saturated the 100mbit port so much so that all the other sites on the server went offline.
