btw...here is what one member is saying to me:

" I tried to play the clip through the url, but still get "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because a network error occurred." I have a cable connection and my ISP is Adelphia. And yes, I have problem downloading all of them. When I try to download, the download stops in the middle and when I click on the zipped files and open them to play, I get the same error as above. I also tried to directly play the clips from the site,
again the videos play part way through before getting the same error. I went to different sites that have video clips to test and see if it is my system, but I was able to play videos and download them fine on the other sites. "

Use Mpegs, they work everywhere without any problem.

I would upload the file again just in case there is an error in the file that is adding to the problem.

It works fine. Just tell your user to download the latest video player from MS (MS Multimedia V.9.0) and if he/she is using Win 98SE tell him/her to upgrade to win XP or 2000, because the player for Media 9 on SE will be available at Dec.2003 earliest

Heather, it worked, but the video didn't play all the way through got to about 20seconds then just stopped.

I agree with Cleo, use mpgs they always work.

garv

The same time it will be available for us Mac users. Until then we get sound with no video.

Use MPG format, it works with everything and can even be easily protected with htaccess unlike WMV files.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ad/default.asp
and he said he did that, is there somewhere different that he can get MS Multimedia V.9.0, or am I sending him to the right link? He can view my mpgs......UGH!

Can anyone suggest something other than dazzle (3 years old now) to take my movies off my camcorder (which is new)????

Thank you!

Heather?

Windows Media Encoder should do it I think?

Isn't Dazzle a piece of hardware with video and audio inputs?

Most new video cameras have a FireWire port. Pick up a FireWire card for your computer if your new camera has a FireWire port.

Dr Bizzaro 2003-11-03 08:03 PM

Looks good to me...er, um, I mean it worked good for me.

HornyHeather 2003-11-03 09:38 PM

Thanks DD,! and GG!

Cleo, yes I hook it to my camcorder and to my pc and it grabs the video and audio, and has a little software proggy that slices and still grabs also.
Mine doesnt have that FireWire port...:(

Dr Bizzaro...Thanks you ***BLUSH***
