Questions for other LL's

Hello, I'm new to the link list end of things. I've gotten some submits one that links to a site that uses the word y***g, and another that uses the word pret**n. Neither of these domains or e-mails are on the blacklist from usefulscripts that I check with. I will not list them because of those words. Am I over reacting? Being new to this I may be but aren't words like these usually banned?

Thanks for you input I need all the help I can get.

MrYum 2005-06-11 09:24 PM

Hi Sue...ya fellow Floridian you |waves|

Yep, both those words are dangerous. The word y*ung has kinda gotten a bad rap because it was used in conjuntion with other words that made it very bad. So these days, I kinda doubt anyone takes it anymore. However, that one is still a pretty easy mistake for someone to make.

The other word you asked about is outright fuckin ban time. That one's an instant candidate for the black list...no questions asked. Stupid fuckers |angry|

Oh, and if by chance the site in question actually has content matching the word...turn their asses in |angry|

Aren't site reviews fun? :D

MadMax 2005-06-11 09:47 PM

I decline any site with the "y" word in the text, graphics or meta tags, I blacklist if it's used in certain obviously CP forms. The "p" word you mentioned is an immediate blacklist from me and a report to ASACP. Those fuckers are the ones giving those fucktards in D.C. half a leg to stand on and I'm more than happy to warm up the flamethrower for them.

sue-fl 2005-06-11 10:02 PM

|waves| Thanks! I didn't see the p word right away and the content doesn't match the word. It is henti content which more or less looks the same.

Yeah welcome to the world of reviews.. :( it's not that easy as I have found out. I realize now I need to study everthing really close. Being new I don't get submits like you guys do. How the hell do you go threw 100's?? Blows my mind that's for sure.

Is the blacklist for useful scripts good to use? I just type the e-mail address and the domain name to see if their on there.
Any other hints??

Oh and in the time between posts I got one that actually had the word k** in the title!! I guess they are trying me as they know I new at this. Guess I need to work my own blacklist into my script. I don't know if it can be done with Links 2 or not.

I won't hesitate to turn them in if the content is uncomfortable. |angry|

Thanks for the info. I'm sure I'm going to need a lot more of it... |headbang|

LOL! Ain't that the truth MadMax |headbang|

You'll get faster as you go along Sue...it's like everything else in this biz...just takes a while to get used to it :)

I had an advantage when I recently took my list public...I did site reviews for another list for several months a while back. Made the learning curve a bit smoother.

Are you using Firefox for reviews?

The bl as Useful is a pretty good one I suppose. Honestly, I only use it to check sites that give me a gut feeling they NEED to be checked...lol.

So I'm not the only one who refers to the blacklist at Useful Scripts. Pretty neat that even link lists that aren't directly tied into it still use it a resource for reviewing. I was hoping that I wasn't alone.

I've been weighing the pros/cons of starting a LL to go with my TGP's. Not sure at this point I want to do LL reviews. TGP reviews are so much easier, just one page and you can program the script to do much of the checking.

The Y and T words are on the banned word list on my TGP's. The submit script declines the submissions before I ever see them. :) Anyone that tries to get cute and fool the script... BLACKLISTED!

What about "younger"? "Old MILF messes around with younger girl", some like that. Should that be rejected as well?

sue-fl 2005-06-12 10:06 AM

Thanks.....what is FireFox see it talked about a lot on here.

Ok does Henti get approved different than other types of porn? The sites I'm questioning were just posted in a thread to greenguy. He's wondering way they didn't get listed. Don't want to step on someones toes but no one else has commented on the wording on those sites. Maybe it's ok in henti sites??? I'm lost that's for sure.

All the regular rules apply to Hentai as well.

Firefox is a Mozilla browser...a bit better security than IE.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html

Also, if you decide to use Firefox...I highly recommend the developer tools extension :)

https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...info.php?id=60

Gives you the ability to view source and resize the screen at the click of a button. VERY handy for webmasters :)

To your question about the use of those words on hentai sites...those words are not acceptable on ANY site.

Well, I will make exceptions for "younger" but I can't speak for everyone else. It really relies a lot on the content. I list mature sites where 50 YO women are fucking 25 YO guys all the time, but I still refuse to list that one variety of Russian content fixated on drunk moms and guys who may be 18 but look like they're 16.

Sue: As far as use of advertising and text, my rules for Hentai are the same as everything else. My thinking is, even if it's animation or drawn art I still won't list anything targeted towards CPers.
