Newsletter has been sent, Holy Shit

Up until last week, when I sent the newsletter, I would get confirmation of it being completed from 1-3 hours. I just received confirmation in less than 10mins.

Thank you again Sparky :)

hmmm... Is this the GGJ newsletter? I didn't get one today.

EDIT: Ooops.. It was hidden in between a pile of crap spam!

Jim 2005-06-13 09:19 AM

I was thinking there must have been a problem. So, if you were supposed to get it and didn't, let me know.

Useless 2005-06-13 09:23 AM

I just realized this morning that Thunderbird was was filtering the newsletter into my junk folder. When you posted about the newsletter going out so quickly, I hadn't a clue of what you were talking about since I had just checked my mail and didn't get one. So, I took a peek in my junk folder and there she sat, all green and pretty. And now my spam-o-meter knows not to do that again. ;)

My LL complies in less then half the time now that I'm on Sparky's Hosting. My TGP script is so fast that I never even get a chance to see the admin load, it's instant.

Sparky is one Fucking Fast Host. :)

Useless 2005-06-13 10:03 AM

I wonder if God-LikeHost.com is available?

Jim 2005-06-13 11:16 AM

Guys, I just can't believe it. I just thought the mailer was a little slow or it took a lot of resources.

This is beautiful.. :)

Kinky 2005-06-13 11:40 AM

I told ya'll months ago that sparky is a genius and had a time machine... now how much time has he saved already? :D

Jim 2005-06-13 12:15 PM

You don't have to tell me anything about Sparkys abilities :) He ran everything for me back in 96 or 97 until 2000 something. :)

Trev 2005-06-13 03:41 PM

Read them? Hell, I still have all of them from #74 until now (#265). I save everything. My email program has so many folders in it. Although, it's the only newsletter I save, since it's the only one I actually signed up for.

(remember when it seemed like there were 5 of them a week? lol)

Yeah, that's why I kept them at first. Now I do it out of habit, since most of the stuff I've read on the board already.

terry 2005-06-13 11:20 PM

Actually, I think it is less hardware. Not sure though. Sparky???

cd34 2005-06-15 10:19 AM

National-net box, dual Xeon, 10K SCSI
New box, P4 with Hyperthreading, 7200 SATA RAID

Ram difference negligent, both ran similar versions Mysql4.0. New box runs Apache2/Tux, National-net box ran Apache1.3.

Kinky 2005-06-15 11:12 AM

has anybody else noticed also how fast that full page of smileys loads now too? that is my favorite part of the switch :D
