What is the current attitude to accepting sites without 2257 notices?

I'm in the UK, so 2257 doesn't apply to me, and I would be breaking my country's laws if I did try to comply. If I submit hardcore pages without 2257 links, will those be declined by some American list owners?

Apologies if this has been asked recently, but I'm not sure what the current attitudes of site owners are.

I asked this question here . About 99.9% will not be the "policeman" and insist you put a 2257 link on your pages.

Im not a 2257 police member :) Any LL owner that reviews based on whether it has a statement or not has their head up their ass and is wasting their time - now if it has a statement/link it better be right and not have any advertisements on it :)

I only enforce the parking restrictions in front of my house. As soon as the DOJ starts paying me, I'll start caring whether or not a site has a notice of compliance. It all looks legal from my house. :D

I don't care how you run your business. I don't even care if you put a 2257 link.

I'm with linkster...it better be 2257 info only if it's there (and I do check), but it's none of my business if you don't have the link :)

And another one who goes for the if you have a 2257 link and it links to 2257 info cool beans, if you have no 2257 info cool beans also - not for the fact there is no 257 info, but for the fact it's up to whoever owns the domain to decide whether they want to comply with that particular requirement.

I don't feel comfortable saying that I am complying when I'm not, and couldn't even if I wanted to. I did put up a few links saying that I wasn't - I guess I hoped that if enough w/ms did that maybe the US government would realise it's stupidity regarding 2257.

I just hope that all the US sites that are closing or being sold aren't going to end up in the hand of less scrupulous owners in lawless countries.
