The movie "Kinsey" is something adult webmasters should see.
 

So, I just finished watching the Kinsey dvd - it's kind of an intense movie, but something to consider checking out sometime.

It's a bit of a chick flick in it's structure and pacing, but it paints a pretty strong picture of Kinsey and what he did.

Not a movie to watch with kids or parents, probably, there's a lot of sex and a lot of heavy emotions.

It has a lot to say about puritanism. And the sexual maturation of this country and the world, in which we as adult webmasters play a role.

Kinda heavy, but I'm glad I watched it.

Heard it was a good movie...I'll check it out sometime.

Saw it in a theatre in Vegas, over the Internext/CES shows....

Any extra goodies on the DVD?

Dang, you know, I didn't get time to check. I wanted to watch it twice, but had to return it.

I'll rent it again in a couple of months.

I think I would have liked it to have been less romanticized, and more like a documentary. I don't know how realistic it actually was...

But there might have been a documentary on Kinsey in the 'special features'.

Well, PBS did a great series on him...interviews with people and all.
It included info about the movie and how the people that were actually there made it clear the movie was "Hollywood."

What/Who is Kinsey?

He is a late professor from Indiana University that set the medical establishment on its ear with his studies of human sexuality during the 1950's.

Saw it a week ago... great flick. It really makes you realize how sexually repressed/up-tight/ignorant the US was back then. Unfortunately, it seems the pendulum is swinging back in that direction once more.

Great movie. Its quite frightening and elightening how uneducated and scared by Jesus the general population in America was in the 50's.

No wonder they were such prudes.

A must see, go grab it today, very well done & historical.

All of them were not prudes. Most of us fucked back then. We just did not make public announcements about it.

A&E did a Bio on him and talked how the right wing bible thumpers completely blame him for starting the sexual revolution of the 60's and for how today's society views sex.

So now we know who to thank.
