Why is it so hard to get a linklist script installed?

I feel your pain. :(

Last month I contacted some people about helping me put a script on my link list. No luck so far. I've just given up and gone back to running the site by hand. Not very efficient but I'm so technically challenged that I could never get a script installed myself.

Good luck finding someone to help.

yup it really sux, I'm almost thinking to let someone code one.... it's really weird, I'm willing to pay a few hundred bucks but it looks like noone is willing to install it or at least sell it...

More reasons why I just made my own.

who told you its hard ? :)
install takes few minutes and configuration about 1/2 hour , but its also depend what script are you trying to install, if you use LinkSQL it so easy a newbie can do it !

well the problem is not the install but actually getting someone to sell me a copy lol

dude I just bought it the other day it was like two versions. one was 30 bucks with the db as a flat file and the other was 80 or so for the mysql version. http://www.mrcgiguy.com/

Mefo my suggestion is to spent a bit money and get a copy of LinkSQL you can install it yourself just upload the files enter mysql info and hit install ;)
but it will cost you 450$
