Simply incredible!
How far to the ground can you adjust to? I can only reach 610 feet. Can anyone tell me how I can get closer than that?|bow| |
I can zoom in at 1 feet, but it doesn't refresh. starting from a few thousand feet, it doesn't show anymore details, everything is blurry.

freaky..I wanted it to go just a bit closer so I could actually wave at my mom

Bummer :(
"Apple Macintosh computers are not supported at this time (but we are working on it)." |
I just downloaded it today. Had quite a bit of fun looking for my house, and my past houses.
I do think the pictures are a little old though, my house shows a car on the front lawn. . .must have been the previous tenants! |thumb I can get to about 94 feet, but it's not very clear that close. |
Darn... guess I'll have to check back later. |flyaway|

It a huge distraction from work lol. But the kids are loving it, last night my girl and her friend were all over the world looking at the pyramids and grand canyon and mapping out our local area :D I hope they come back online Verbal and bring out a mac version for Cleo too cos it is truly amazing.

The satellite images are pretty good. Google mentions some of the images can be as old as three years old. Some parts of Nova Scotia showed snow, so I figure some of those images were taken last spring at the earliest.
One thing that gets me, I can see homes in the rural area I grew up - except MY PARENTS HOUSE! Literally, the fucking thing stops showing data half way up the short road leading to their house. I told mother not to worry about satellites watching them. The pics of Bejing and New York are amazing. You can literally see the people in the square and in the streets. |
Ask what Nasa and Pentagon could say about this?

Actually on a serious note you will notice that you can only zoom in so far on certain places. Plus as ADK said the data is often quite old.
