Does Gabbo know about this? I think he was planning on staying at your house while you were gone...

:D

I spoke too soon. I am going back Friday morning :)
I tell you, when I see my daughter's man, we are going to have a vigorous talk about a few things. The guy has to work, I understand that but...does he have to go places with his friends on the weekends?
WTF is all I ask :)

Useless 2005-06-29 03:50 PM

Hey Jim - Thank you. ;)

Erick G 2005-06-29 04:23 PM

Hey Jim
will this be your first grand kid?
I remember being on the other end of the vigorous talk when I met my wife online,
came to visit and never whent back to canada.. Her dad sat me down and grilled me to no end lol.. I came out alive hehe

Nope Erick...I have a Granddaughter. Which is the reason I have been helping out. Speaking of which.. Things have changed again. My Granddaughter got results from her doctors visit today and she is have female problems. So, instead of being home until Friday, and then until tomorrow night, I now have a doctors appointment to take her to at 2pm tomorrow.

Sparky, I am still going to do what I said I was going to do. By hook or by crook. Even if I have to hire someone to do it for us :) It will get done tomorrow.

I will be gone at min from tomorrow until Wednesday when Greenie and I are meeting in Syracuse for some BBQ and hopefully I get a quck ride home. I will then turn around and go back to Rochester and stay there for at least a week. The ACs are in, the TV is set. The only thing lacking is broadband. And to tell you the truth, I am getting used to netzero. If you guys ever need dial up, check them out. Very fast for dial up.

I admire you so much for what you are doing, Jim.

Jim 2005-06-30 07:07 AM

Don't admire me...
I really have no choice. When your kids need you, what choice do you have? Is there anyone that wouldn't do this for their sick children?

And...I really don't mind the travel. I found a "secret Place" where I can burn books on mp3. So, I am catching up on my reading. Nothing quite as relaxing as driving and listening to a book on tape. I have to get the xm hookup for my truck so I can listen to the "old time stories channel" I love that old stuff. Jack Benny, Milton Berl, George and Gracie :)

MorganGrayson 2005-06-30 07:11 AM

It's not a nice world sometimes, Jim.

Jim 2005-06-30 07:29 AM

I know..but, when I was in trouble, my mother was there. So, when my kids are in trouble, I am there. And, these are also my grandchildren we are talking about. A whole nother ballgame :)

I love books on tape! If you ever feel like sharing your "secret place", please do.

Say goodnight Gracie!

I hate listening to a book being read to me, but I do love reading.

My neighbor bought an iPod just to listen to audio books that he buys from the iTunes store.

Oh, Cleo, you don't know how you've brightened my day! I absolutely *despise* being read to...and for some reason...that seems to attract people determined to read to me...usually something that I wouldn't have picked to read on my own. I especially hate it when it starts out "hey, listen to this...this is funny..." Automatically I know...it won't be. |dizzy|

(My itty bitty rant for the...er...moment. :) )

Glad it isn't just me. iTunes lets you listen to 30 seconds of everything so I sampled a bunch of the books thinking I would find something that I liked since I'm told some people do but it was just slightly more enjoyable then listing to fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard.

Well, home again. This time to give my lovely wifes mother some money so she can go to New Jersey for the holiday weekend. Nice huh??? I will be here for a few hours.

Jim 2005-07-01 12:40 PM

Well, I caught up on a few things anyway. I am back off to Rochester. Damn, Diesel prices are killing me.
