Question about freesites
 

Hi all, I'm pretty much a newbie in the biz. I have been doing a couple of freesites here and there, but mostly TGP galleries.

I had a question about freesites. Does all the content have to actually be on the freesite domain? for example:

www.yourdomain.com/freesite1/image1

Or can the image be anywhere on your main domain? Example:

www.yourdomain.com/image1

The reason I ask is that I make TGP galleries, and out of the pics on the galleries I make freesites, so the pics aren't on the same subdirectory as the freesite. And it would take up twice the space on my server if I had to copy the images on different directories. So, I just want some clarification.

No concrete answer to that query, I'm afraid. Some people watch directory structures very closely, others don't. Your best bet for getting listed widely is to have your images in your free site's immediate directory. Just plan ahead and you should have no problem placing your free site html pages and your TGP pages in the same directory.

Shouldnt be a problem at the bigger LLs - most of the owners do the same thing with their free sites and galleries

not a big problem to me - but there might be some LL owners that might care
