Is the internet broken?
 

I am seeing an unusually high amount of "Error: Host not found" errors when running the link bot. Is there something amiss out there in the ether?

Seems the same here.

The only thing my bot has been flagging is the crazy amount of 302 and 404 pages.

Last night and today I have had particular trouble with anything having to do with yahoo. Mail, groups, search.

Yahoo seems screwed up in particular :(

I don't know if this is related, but for the past day or so Ice Cold Cash and Fetish Bucks have been 404...

I was having problems getting a few places earlier. Sparky mentioned something about a fiber cut in another thread. But, I don't think he said, who's or where.

Its Canada Day and its the same as any national holiday in the USA or Canada... we see the net start to faulter with all the useage.

Downtown Miami -- backhoe fade. Killed several OC-48 loops and killed a number of providers and competitors.

Sure made me feel good with the move I made. While we lost two providers, things worked as expected.

I heard it was the government and some secert project. The are not using 2257 or anything else. They have captured aliens back in 47 and now they are making them use their mind powers to 404 the whole internet. True story. lol

Actually it appears that all the DOJ employees are surfing the net to find all the porn to go after.

Additionally, there seems to be significant traffic from right wing religious extremists downloading tremendous amounts of porn before their friends in the facist administration can shut it all down.

Those are the two reasons for internet problems.

My guess is that UW broke the internet and now he's just using this thread as a cover.

I ran my checker yesterday and got almost 1000 "not founds". I just chalked it up to folks bailing on 2257.

Rechecked thost 1000 today and only 200 or so were not found. Maybe those aliens minds exploded, the DOJ toadies busted a nut, and all the Canadians are too hung over to surf.

Sorry guys...I tripped over the cord while reaching for a beer and accidently unplugged the internet. Won't happen again. |drunk|
