Good to see Elton John again - and some good Bono early

Linkster 2005-07-02 10:34 AM

Linkster 2005-07-02 01:10 PM

Damn she's hot - doing Little Piece of my Heart (old Janis Joplin fan) - oh yeah - that would be Faith Hill

Useless 2005-07-02 01:31 PM

How are you watching this?

EDIT - Oops, just found your other thread.

Linkster 2005-07-02 02:02 PM

aol - the uk aol is the best gateway - then you can choose from the global feed - which switches between the venues for the best acts - or you can choose the rome, uk, us etc concerts individually - and believe me - you get a hell of a lot more on these feeds than you are on tv

Erick G 2005-07-02 02:57 PM

tv is nothing but commercials and censorship
how pathetic
the live feed does rock

Linkster 2005-07-02 03:16 PM

yeah - what a excellent hot singer they just had from the Russian show

MeatPounder 2005-07-02 03:25 PM

See...Aol is actually good for something, never thought I'd admit that tho ;)

Linkster 2005-07-02 03:34 PM

Yeah - and in this case you dont even have to be a member - its just a free page on their web site

Theproofhouse 2005-07-02 07:46 PM

Yea, just watched Pink Floyd. Fucking awesome.
Didn't the band fall out and weren't talking to each other for years, but got back together fo this gig?

pornoTGB 2005-07-03 06:21 AM

U2 played here in Vienna for about 2 hours ;-)
To bad I didn't get any tickets.. they were sold out in about an hour (what else..)

I cryed the entire time they played :) I kick myself in my ass everytime I think of when I was in the military, stationed in California in 1981 and passed up 2 tickets to "The Wall" in LA. The Wall stage took 400 guys, 2 weeks to setup. So, they only played in NYC and LA.

Ms Naughty 2005-07-03 09:23 PM

Pink Floyd were wonderful :)

I hope they have this moment of clarity and realise it's fun to play together again and do a full concert or something.

Indeed. Basically, Roger Waters wanted to quit, but thought that the band should split up. Dave Gilmour wanted the band to continue, so it went to court where it was decided that the remaining band members could continue as Pink Floyd, but that Waters got the rights to The Final Cut album and image rights relating to The Wall.

Saturday's performance together was the first in 24 years.

the_dawn 2005-07-04 03:28 AM

Did Elton John bring his hubby?

slymer 2005-07-04 06:51 AM

HarD_RocK 2005-07-05 05:32 AM

It's great that popular people are working together to promote a worthy cause. Hooray for them!
