tickler 2005-07-02 03:52 PM

You could try Unified Stats, and it's FREE!

MrYum 2005-07-02 03:58 PM

Big fan of StatsRemote here...been using it for about 2 years now...great program and a real time saver ;)

It's not free, but does an excellent job and is well supported.

Depends on what level you want to review stats.....you could go mainstream if it's really important to know every single click someone does on anything throughout your site and if you need it for advertising programs, I'd say webtrends is the one...I know with my web host they offer AWStats which I find pretty decent. For others, I am sure more responses here will help you out :)

I also use Statsremote BUT ...

They seriously need some competition. In my opinion its overpriced! Sure $200 for life would be great, its not a complicated piece of software at all ... but $30 per month ... month after month for leasing it is overpriced.

I also loved stats remote when I was very active 1-2 yrs ago.
I did look at unified stats and it seems ok, but I notice many programs are not listed including my best converter Extreme Paychecks

Halfdeck 2005-07-03 03:49 AM

A newbie question about statsRemote: does it count clicks only or does it also provide sales information?

Quite honestly all I can tell you is it does count clicks and a whole lot more, but at least a year ago the click stats were iffy at best.
It had a lot of great tools to evaluate trafic and conversion ratios, but on many of the sponsers the data was not always accurate.
It was a great tool to get a general feel, but I always went directly to the sponsor to get the accurate info (course you could do that right from stats remotes links in the software and that in itself was great)
But then again I have been all but completely out of the biz for a year...and they may have improved the accuracy.

As I finally made my decision about 2257 and my business plan..I will be signing up with them again perhaps.
Really, considering their cost is basically a sale a month it should definately be part of an adult webmasters arsenal.

I use statsremote as well and didn't had any bigger bugs with it

Just go to the website and there is an option to request that a sponsor be added. When they have it ready the program is updated automatically, just like your virus software.

UnifiedStats_Jo 2005-07-03 05:52 AM

Hi everyone...John from UnifiedStats here...

Thanks Tickler for mentioning my program... :)

MeatPounder, we've just added ExtremePaychecks...if you're currently running the software, recycle to load the new programs...

Just wanted to let everyone know, we are offering an advanced, stats retrieval tool for webmasters absolutely free...I invite you to check out UnifiedStats for more info...I think you'll find a lot of nice features not currently available on the market, and free is tough to beat.

We are working diligently on adding new programs...as you can imagine, it's quite an undertaking but we already have quite a good group of programs added and will continue to add new programs indefinitely.

Any questions, let me know...can always hit me up directly too: icq - 241214664

StatsRemote - was too expensive for me. $30 per month? No thanks.

RevStats - I do not want my account login info to be stored on their server.

UnifiedStats - I did not know that it exists till now. Today I installed it and it looks very good, it is intuitive and it has most of the features I want from such a software. There are missing some spontor programs I am using, but I am sure it is just a matter of time. Thank you Tickler for posting that url and specially thank you John for making it and giving it for free. When I will be singing up for a new sponsors I certainly will sign up under you to reward your work.

Fido 2005-07-03 07:53 AM

Signing, not singing, lol :)

MadMax 2005-07-03 10:51 AM

I personally love statsremote and don't mind the $30/month. It lets me see raw sales and click data from over 50 programs at a glance, and saves me at least 6 hours per month...that extra 6 hours to promote is well worth the $30 for me, and the support really is great :)

Thanks for the kind words Fido...and you are correct, the programs are just a matter of time...we are adding new programs daily. If you ever need anything, let me know :)

Very surprising Henrique...might be some tweaking needed with a few of the programs. Hit up the StatsRemote support folks...they usually respond quickly. On the few ocassions when I've had a problem, JB was always quick to solve it :)

japamor 2005-07-04 11:32 AM

I've just installed Unified Stats after discovering it in this thread. Its very detailed, intuitive and easy to set up. Yes there's some Sponsors missing - Serious Coin and Guerilla for instance - but there's a section for passing on Sponsor name suggestions. I'm sure that as time goes on these gaps will be filled.

Have been using Unified Stats for some time... very good :)
I would add option to choose how often stats should be updated :)

chilihost 2005-07-04 10:06 PM

I agree, statsremote is a good program but $30.mo to save me opening up 5 browsers and check stats manually is insane. Unified Stats is good, unfortunately it is missing some key sponsors (like ccbill non-affiliate stuff) but I am sure that in time it will improve.

cheers,
Luke

Yeah, I have to admit that I like StatsRemote, but it is way too pricey!

UnifedStats seems to be pretty good, and I like the graphing in it, but it definitly need more of the programs.

Also, since you are on here UnifiedStats_Jo, how about make the removal of programs a little better. Rather than have EVERYTHING in a list, make the adding and removal like StatsRemote. I know you can make programs inactive, but they still show in the list with the actives. If you are promoting a lot of programs, this kinda becomes a pain if you can't make them disappear.

BTW... the price of UnifiedStats is |thumb

I'm trying Unified Stats for the week. Gotta admit I love Stats Remote, but I'll try anything for free, and my stats remote 3 months ends tonight.

To remove a program click on "Options" above the tree. the second dropdown is for deleting programs.

ponygirl 2005-07-06 03:01 AM

I downloaded UnifiedStats too, and am loading it up now...I gotta say, it's the first time I've used such a program and I LOVE it! |pink
It is a bit of a PITA to remove programs but for the price I don't care, it should save me a lot of time, thats for sure :D

Thanks!

Ah... OK... see that now.

Well... all I have to say is add more programs and you're got one happy camper!
