Hello everybody, I just had a real quick question about members areas on pay sites, I'm just about to put up a new site, and was curious if anyone has a place where members can submit jokes, stories ect.., and I was curious if members take the time to read stuff like that, or if it's a waste of time to try and manage all that???? opinions? thank you much

I get tons of SE hits to my jokes, stories, etc. Plus the surfers seem to like them. I know the LL traffic to my stories site is usually better down the line than any other cat. If you don't want the SE's to index them because they are in your private area you can forget what I just said :)

That is good to know, maybe i should try and experiment with my freesites like that, but mostly i want to try and keep retention rates way way up, I have looked at alot of members areas of different sites, and it always seems pretty plain, I know im not everyone, but personally, I'd like to see something besides pictures, fun stuff, ya know?

If surfers were searching for that type of thing it would seem to me that that it would be plus for attracting them to a paysite. JMO

Know of anyone who is currently using that "tactic"?

Some sponsors offer stories on their pay sites. I can only think of a couple who offer jokes. Not any that offer both on one site.
