Nope, looking like Florida will be spared too much of the impact. Still unclear what we will get here on the Mississippi Coast. We are under voluntary evacuation now, with mandatory evacuation of boats in Biloxi and for low lying areas and mobile homes.
I went to the beach earlier to snap a few pics. The Gulf is slick as glass...that eerie calm before the storm. My fiance works at a local casino and was called and informed that regular duties are cancelled and that she was to come in to assist in hurricane preparations. They have to move everything to higher levels because if the conditions are too severe, they sink the casino barges to prevent excess damage to machines and such. Let's all hope that high pressure trough coming from Texas knocks Dennis down before he strikes anywhere.
I'm ready and riding it. Got my |potleaf| and supplies so I'm good to go.

Yep looks like most of Florida will escape this one anyway.
