Changing Recips AFTER Submission

Is it ok to change a few recips AFTER a site has been submitted?

I want to replace recips to "dead" sites or sites that may have rejected me.

Will this cause me to be blacklisted by the ones that accepted me?

Newbie need to know.

Personally, I wouldnt change anything on your site without contacting the owner first. Firstly out of decency and secondly, many sites have scripts which detect any html change within the page. Ours will automatically remove a page found to have any changes, from our listings.

Thats my personal view. Hope this helps thorn :)

Removing a recip from a site that didn't list you or that is no longer around is not going to bother anyone :)

Just don't pull recips to sites that DID list you, 'cause that will certainly get you blacklisted.

I don't mind if you change recips, as long as mine's still up.

Same here...as long as the site still complies with rules and my recip remains...you're good to go |thumb

However, most will agree that going back to old sites to remove/replace recips isn't usually the most productive use of time.

I agree. You only get one submit per day basically so rather then screw up your submitting schedule, figure out which sites are going to list your stuff fairly consistently and stick with them. Then build, submit, forget.

Keep in mind though that there are a few high traffic link lists that are 2-3 months 'behind' on their submissions, so it might take a while to figure out the best places to submit to.

I don't mind as long as you're switching them to one or two of mine. :D I kid. As long as your site remains linked to me and you don't make changes that would effect the rules, you go crazy.

My script will delete any sites with changes. Best to let me know if you want to change anything first.

lol this is great.. some ll's delete if there are changes and some like GG delete if there isnt changes! (albeit after 6 months but I have sites doing well from 2 years ago) I usually run some kind of update on my sites every now and then for seo reasons so I guess I better consider that when choosing where to submit. I also like the opportunity to go back and change out banners to shit sponsors on free sites that get good se listings..
