I woke up too late for the farm report so I have no weather report this week. I can tell you in the northeast...HOT :)

My modem is going quickly. It started out that I had to reboot it every 10 mins or so, now I have to do it ever 3... I am getting a new on later this afternoon, Time Warner claims. I miss my business class modem...they would have been here last night.

I think we are probably looking at a Sunday Newsletter.

Morning Jim, when equipment like that fails I usually have a backup replacement stored in my equipment closet. Which does not lessen the pissed off factor one bit! |angry|

Going to do the gym thing once I'm awake. Then back home to continue my LL cleanup.

Looks like it is going to be an overcast day, glad I got some beach time in yesterday.

Busy day for me - off to the doctor's in about an hour because my neck is still killing me - plus I've been on some sort of cholesterol medicine for 5 months or so & they never bother to follow up. Then I've got to go to a surprise 60th birthday party for my Dad at 4 & then back here for poker at 8 :D

I did play cards last night & finished 12th out of 440 - my 1st money win in about 3 weeks |thumb

Our 'farm' report consists of newly planted schills in poker games, rows of slut machines that need weeding, and crop circles of tourists riding the monorail up and down the strip as they fertilize our economy. |cool|

Good morning everybody.

I haven't slept yet either. Went to the grocery store this morning (prices are up; got about half of what I usually do and spent the same amount of money...cocksuckers :D ), got McD breakfast. Had a fight with Mr. madleinx, made up, cleaned the damn house (sorta), have a fever for no reason. OH I'm ready for bed.

Was up late last night and just got up not too long ago. Felt nice. More coffee needed!

Yesterday was a much longer day at Great Escape (six friggin' flags) than my body could handle. I was dead for much of evening and still feel half-dead now. I don't do well in the sun. Could have been a fun day if we would have left the kids somewhere. Kids really take the fun out of a fun park.

Today is my 8th anniversay, or so she claims. ;) So - expect nothing.

Saw this kewl looking three wheel motorcycle that looked like it was made from an old shrunken Vette. It looked like it had a small block Chevy engine that was water cooled. The guy driving it was smoking a big cigar and had no legs below his knees, just metal high tech looking rods with sneakers at the ends. Odd thing was that going to the gym he was next to me and then when I left the gym there he was next to me again.

UW - happy anniversary - I'm told we're on our 8th too here, and who am I to argue.

Cleo - damn, I was hopin' to see the high-tech metal rods and sneakers! ;)

I was thinking of adding a cable modem as a backup here, but we're still waiting for Comcast to come replace a box here since the storm. Our other boxes still work, so they actually don't think they need to rush since we do have service. Meanwhile their other office is trying to get us to switch from DSL to cable modem and saying they can have someone here the same day to hook it up...but of course that person won't be able to replace the digital box that got fried in the brownouts since they have separate crews for those two things. Helps explain why they charge what they do for service.

Holly - good news on the new paysite, I'm looking forward to seeing it (and talking with you and Tart about some new things when you have time again).

Also - I want to say thank you to the small group of people here who really piled the work on me yesterday -- you know who you are, and seriously, nice work and thank you very much. That's exactly how I like my day ruined. |thumb

Finally got our newsletter out today and realize we definitely need to automate about a dozen steps in our weekly workflow, so I'm going to be mapping out some of that this weekend so I can make sense talking with a programmer.
