Same Sex Marriage Becomes Law Today ...
 

Here is the link -- it's kinda boring unless you like Canadian politics as I do. The Governor General, the Queen's representative in Canada, will sign the bill into law today. We are now officially the third country in the world to allow gay marriage. More and more Canada goes "stage left" on social issues and the USA ... well not so much.

Have I mentioned that if not for my daughter being the child of someone other than my lovely wife, I would move to Toronto? Not because I'm gay. I'm not gay, no matter what the pictures of me insinuate. I just find Canadian polotics refreshing in comparison to here.

My daughter began her "I'd rather be in Canada!" discussions over a year ago. She put up a good argument, then kept coming up with new good arguments. This is yet another one. Imagine. An entire nation that treats its citizens like...people. I'm an American and I have to go lie down now with a cold compress on my head.

Second time today, too...the discussion of the Supreme Court possible being the first.

Canada is my hero! :)

My girlfriend and I stared joking about moving to Canada shortly after Shrub got elected (written with extreme sarcasm) to office the first time. With each passing day, the humor melts away more and more.
