GreenguyAndJim Earth

Hi, very good idea :)
I'm just wondering if it's possible to see the nick names on world's map. Right now I see only dots and don't know where are people from

Cleo 2005-07-27 09:26 AM

Sure, just click on the Giant Earth link.

Ok I'll bite.

I live in the wonderful town of Pulderbos (near Antwerp (Belgium)).

Google Earth returned something like this:

edit: hmmm..ok, didn't see that map feature on GG&Jim before, cool stuff :)

adamneve 2005-07-27 09:35 AM

BTW, anyone recognizes this place? :D

iggysick 2005-07-27 09:58 AM

Added my little southern Europe dot |headbang|
My dot is lonely down there :(

Sarah_Jayne 2005-07-27 11:26 AM

okay, I added my details in the control pannel...will wait for them to show up. I'll be the one pretty much sitting on the prime meridian.

mikeyddddd 2005-07-27 11:34 AM

I'm in.

PeterJ 2005-07-27 11:43 AM

That´s a really cool feature ... But I guess it will be hard to see the names for all the names ... At least in a couple of weeks time.

Regards PeterJ

Make sure to update it if you travel so we can kep tabs on you :D

MadMax 2005-07-27 01:37 PM

That's pretty slick, just added myself...although it seems to be a bit crowded in the Northeastern US. Maybe we need ultra-mambo-giant earth :D

Cleo 2005-07-27 01:43 PM

Looks like everyone in Australia is hiding

Greenguy 2005-07-27 01:45 PM

Cleo - can't you see it's still dark Down Under...they are all sleeping :D

Useless 2005-07-27 01:48 PM

I'm feeling a little crowded, but at least I'm not covered (yet).

Cleo 2005-07-27 01:52 PM

I see that Simon and a few others are under FoxyAngel

Fonz 2005-07-27 02:03 PM

Damn it's almost getting dark over here :(

It seems there are high concentrations of webmasters at some places, I think I'm moving to Africa...

Yepz, that's what I'm using. Detailed satelite pics like that only work for (parts) of the US so far but I managed to take a peek in the backyards of UW, greenie, surfn, cleo, Torn, ramster ... and so on :D

juggernaut 2005-07-27 03:11 PM

If you take a peek at my back yard dont zoom in to much. I live next to a Frankenstein project went wrong. You just might see an over grown retard trying to look back up at you. She can hear the signals in the sky. Don't be scared, she will stare at you for 5 minutes before she tries to run for you.

juggernaut 2005-07-27 03:36 PM

Dude thats some cool shit. Its pretty up to date. I zoomed to my house and my car is parked outside lol.

Erick G 2005-07-27 04:17 PM

not that up to date for me
apparently I live in a field LOL

babymaker 2005-07-27 04:29 PM

wow! this is spooky lol :) can type in a friends address and see them :) anyway to focus when you zoom in don't see it.

Tommy 2005-07-27 04:34 PM

WOW the images are a few years old
my house has no pool and my tocoma is in the driveway
(that went back a few years ago)

amber438 2005-07-27 08:50 PM

This is way kewl..My house isn't even on the map yet when I zoom in..:)
