no, this isnt a thread about which sponsor is best.

But, its a compilation thread for those people who run these programs to consider when working on features and the like.

I was hoping everyone could list the 'best' features that a sponsor could possibly provide to create the "best" sponsor program they can.

ability to link to any page in the tour
ability to link directly to the signup page

If you list something unique to a current sponsor, list that sponsor to give them credit for their good ideas :)

Just before we opened UltraCash, we sat down and thought of the ultimate sponsor and wanted to build a program that was everything to everyone. While that was impossible, we did do a lot of the things you mentioned. Of course, the technology was not there for a lot you mentioned. But, we were close to the ultimate sponsor. A lot of people made a lot of money and we made a very nice profit.

I do have to give some kudos to my buddy Jim on that one - UltraCash was by far the BEST program out there when it opened - still one of the best stats areas I have ever seen :D

Boogie, the only thing that I would add to that list is somethign I see very few sponsors do (in fact CEcash is the only place I know of that has something vaguely like this).

If I opened a program I would have a section that had "top converting ads" so my webmasters could see what types of ads were selling the best, and they could use those ads for themselves.

I figure the people who own the pay sites know how to convert best with them, so why not share this information to their webmasters?

Yeah ULTRACASH Rocked especially with the $5000 give aways they had once in a while!

Ultracash was the first sponsor I got a signup with, I'd wish things were like back then....

I remember Jim starting land'o'plenty too...after Ultracash shut down, well Jim I hope you'll do better if you one day decide to startup again!

Now what was the suckers name who closed ultracash wasn't his name starting with an 'M'?

Great idea, reminded me of a few things to include if we ever get enough feedback to force me into updating the thing :p

we have something that will blow ultracash out of the water.

the affiliate program is private and is still in alpha testing.

once it goes gold it will remain closed to the public.

if you would like to be considered for the program leave your URL and average uniques/day to that url in this thread and we will take a look. if we like what we see we will drop you a private message with more info.

Alll those options are great but when the sponsors sites are cookie cutter like every othere site out there and they claim to pay 30 and 40 bucks (whicy you all know is impossible unless they shave like mad) then try something really different like

Since then, I have worked with the best programs in the business.

One option I haven't seen mentioned in this thread is the ability for the webmaster to choose his user ID and Password from the go. I really have problems with sponsors that assign you all kinds of garbage you have look up every time you go log on or get your links. |pissed|

http://www.spamontheproperthread.com uses Jettis to do the affiliate program and they allow you to choose your own username and password.
