E-Gold as a payment option?
A potential private submitter just asked me if I take "E-Gold" as a payment option.
I said no and up till now, I have not even heard of it. I went to the site and it sounds strange, yet interesting. (using gold bullion as a world wide form of payment.) Anyone use this as a payment option and if so, how do you like it? Pro's? Cons? |
Hey Dr,
Egold sounds strange for me too but they are not new for sure.. I prefer epassporte personal as an additional option. They are way cheaper than paypal and international. I know one company which accepts egold, their site is http://www.imageauction.com . Just my 2 cents worth :) |
Never heard of them Dr B |noclue|

I've used their services before at a customers request and had the money in our bank account that day. It's just like a wire, but you pay for the transfer fees.

dont take it
well its money that has no trace on it. but like paypal often used by scammers.. take paypal. |
Phil,
E-Gold is a commodity's game...you might as well be buying and selling gold. As gold goes, so does your money... If gold takes a hit before your money gets converted you are fucked! |
I have been using http://www.e-gold.com since 1997 when I used it to pay for my conference registration to Financial Cryptography 97. E-gold is a good system and free from most any government regulation. The reason its often used by scammer is that its non-repudiatable. In other words, no chargebacks.
And yes http://www.imageauction.com does take e-gold and we pay out some of our sellers in e-gold. Jason support@imageauction.com |
