Weird traffic blip
 

I noticed that yesterday morning I got +10k in hits from altavista images over a 1.5 hour span. The traffic then went back to a normal 100+ hits per hour for the keyword.

Any thoughts on what my cause a spike like that.

That was me sending fake traffic to your site with a program I have for e-mail spammers. No just kidding. I posted something like this a couple of weeks ago and was never able to find the answer. I figured it was old news for me anyway and just dump that log. If its not happening every day then fuck it. If nothing bad happened to your site/server then fuck it. What can you do with it now?

You can send those fake hits anytime. Actually popped a couple of sales from it.

I was thinking after I posted, that maybe some surfer board posted a link to the altavista page. Then it drops down the board to page #2 quickly where nobody ever looks. But, that's just my speculation.

Weird I just noticed a weird traffic blip on the 11th, haven't figured where it came from yet. Wonder if it's the same deal?
