Page movement on Yahoo
 

My page has gone up incredibly on Yahoo. I was not even able to find it on some keywords, when suddenly it went as high as first page on every single keyword I targeted and even on those I didn't target.

It had the same high positions on these keywords for a day or so and then fell down so that I can not find it again!

Any thoughts about what happened!!

You don't give enough info to even make a guess at an answer.

But it sounds like fairly typical behaviors both for yahoo and google to me.

For instance, all fairly new pages have a chance of being listed high for a particular search term for a few days at google, after which they will drop to their more likely position for several months, slowly inching upwards as the page ages and backlinks kick in.

I'm less familiar with yahoo, but from what I've been hearing it's become common for pages to do something similar there. Perhaps with a bit less predictability.

Yahoo has been doing a lot of shuffling for a couple of weeks now. They did the same thing a couple of months ago. Give it another week or two and things should settle down some. :)

Now let's hope it doesn't drop down. I once got that, one day it was at second position in the list, got great ammount of hits. The next day i couldn't even find it in the 10 first pages. I banged my head against the wall |banghead|
