How exactly do you build traffic to a linklist?
 

now, lets take for example the fact that u get a high google listing for one good keyword;

how else can u drive traffic to your LL and how else can you trade traffic to other LL...

i see the big guys not using any scripts what so ever to monitor traffic.. so im curious..

I have a script that totals up my server stats every day, so I know who's sending me what from where (as far as the Top 20 goes)

I'm old school with most of my link lists & tgp's - throw up my link & I'll throw up yours. I haven't gotten burned too many times, mostly because whe I do trade, I do it here thru the board :)

MML & I have a few sites that could probably trade links with you - I'll send him over here to get your info if you're interested :)

Basically link lists are old school with the link exchanges. Those help to send a bit of traffic to each other not not much for the most part. The good thing about link lists is the amount of pages they have so SEs send traffic to every page.

The other way to get traffic to your link lists is with free sites. Index with your recip, main page with the gallery links and a link to your link site with More Free BlahBlah Sites Here and the same link at the bottom of gallery 2 as well.

Over time it all starts to add up.

I often give up a sponsor banner spot on the stuff that I build in order to advertise my link list. Seems to send it a lot of traffic. Other then that I also do traffic trades. I use a traffic script, but mostly I just use its top list function, I do not skim my link list at all. I also have a really old top list that still sends traffic to my link list.

good info i dont want to loose any traffic and have LL people remove my link they wont mind if i put my hub link in with theres

also gg you have a tpg i would like to try that soon to generate traffic but not so much as other mega traffic tpgs that burn a couple gigs a day

unless i get another host with a larger bw plan that dont cost much

can you have 1 site hosted with 2 hosts

i just need more traffic thing is when you get listed with a good LL
after 1 week that traffic dies down

how long does it take to build traffic up

also how many visitors does it take to start seeing signup

iam getting 500 to 800 a day and no se traffic yet

Odds are, if we even noticed, we wouldn't care.

I have many TGP's & Link Lists other than the Link O'Rama - hit up MrMaryLou if you wnat to do a trade or 2 :)

You can not have the smae domain on 2 hots (that I know of)

Those questions are almost impossbile to answer - after all, you only need 1 visitor to get a sign up :) Just keep building & plugging away :)

Its already been kinda hinted at here - if you build free sites and add the link on the gallery and main pages thats a good start - also remember to always put your own LL recip with the other recips on every mirror you ever submit :) doesnt seem like a lot but over a year or so of submitting it makes for bunches of traffic. An make sure your category pages are set up for SEs - not just the index or main page of the LL

links to hub or LL allways with otyer recips on index page I got that

also should i go back to all my sites and add them in or last 3 or 4 as i have some to take off no link listed was rejected on some so i have room

also put them on main and gallery too dont you want sponsor links only ?

Ok - we'll take the one at a time :)

I wouldn't worry about going back to change preious sites too much - just spend the time building new sites and adding in your recips :)

I usually put them in the gallery and main pages because a lot of times the surfer might like to look for something else - gives you an opportunity to filter them some

as far as exit links - I never use them - to me its a traffic leak - unless you have a page of non-adult stuff that you are making money from :)

As far as how many sponsor links per page - I always limit it to 2 - some LLs (Tommys comes to mind) only allow 2 sponsor links

I dont think Ive seen that site you submitted yet - Im about 2 days behind due to some AVS and redirecting domains Im having to clean up

And don't ever be soryy for asking questions - thats one of the main reasons this board exists and is such a good resource - and Id rather answer the questions now then spend all weekend cleaning out submits that dont follow the rules :)

ill do that as soon as i can figure out wtf happened on google today

Ive read quite a bit on google your site will be there and next day it will be gone it takes a while for it to settle in just my 2 cents

well this update is not like the other ones.

chowda - actually this update reminds me of the good ole days of updates - the only difference this time is that Google is finally getting rid of some of the cloakers and such - saw one site lose 38,000 pages - that were clogging up the results real bad - basically if you play by the Google quality guidelines you'll do ok - if you go over the line - you can expect to lose out this update
