I would advise against using X-Cart unless you're willing to shell out money to the company's own programmers to customize it and make it work. It's what I use for my store through Netbilling, and I'm fine with it now, but the few programmers that I had look at it originally said it was the craziest, most disorganized, hard to understand fuckup of a program they'd ever looked at. Pretty much the only people who understand it are the Russians who made it, and bear in mind that Russian business hours make it hard to coordinate with chatting about the project. Plus, it took several times as long to complete the customization and at least twice as much money as I was originally quoted, plus, tech support of any kind past the 30 days costs money, and it wouldn't have gone past 30 days if the Russians actually finished their own work on time. But, in a case like that, there was nowhere else to turn to get it working.
