I love my outside cameras :)

We have a neighbor across the street that always throws out couches, chairs....etc when you are not supposed to. They stole my shovel when I first moved in. And, she was arrested last winter for leaving her 3 YO in her car while she went into walmart...white trash all the way.

So, I see in my camera with a really good microphone the police, real owners of the house and the no good tenant. They are screaming at her, "We evicted you in June, get out now". :) It's the little things that make you smile :)

Fonz 2005-09-07 11:01 AM

I think you and UW would be ideal neighbors...

Jim 2005-09-07 11:12 AM

I think we would get along great. We both love blowing in our neighbors for all infractions and tag teaming would be great. :)

Boogie 2005-09-07 12:43 PM

Wait... i'm not supposed to keep my baby in my car?

OH SHIT....

TIMMY DADDY IS COMING.

Erick G 2005-09-07 12:51 PM

2msacras 2005-09-07 02:40 PM

How often does anyone get to say that?
:D

We just finished talking to the owners of the house. Which, on the outside is almost a twin to ours. A beautiful Victorian House. The owners said the woman (tenant) gutted the house and put new wiring in. Tore out the Mahogany woodwork and the place was just nothing but studs and insulation. The tenant told the owners she would be there for months without paying rent because she knew all the tricks in the book. So, the owners called the codes enforcer who took one look at the inside of the house and condemned it :) The tenant can only move her things out of there. We, of course, volunteered to keep an eye on it to make sure she isn't living there. Like I said, it's the little things that make me smile.

Jim, you should stream that feed over the 'net! A new concept in Reality Websites. "White Trash Neighbours" ;)

Nope, gone with the trash. I wish I saw it go. probably the truth is that the ex-husband who is a contractor got it all.

Danny
Most times the feeds are boring. Once in a while, we get a show but not really worth the feed :) Who knows what the new neighbors will bring.

But, I know these people want to sell this house fast. They would probably take very little for it. I am almost thinking of offering a low-ball price to see if I can get it. I have a lot of family that would be happy to rent it. And it would be handy to have my sons living near by.

No matter what the inside looks like, it is still a house over 100 years old. It has survived the test of time and the test of renters :)

Do you live in Wash DC? ooops that was a long time ago when they were one and the same :)

2msacras 2005-09-07 10:47 PM

LOL....sometimes it feels like DC...no really the mayor is a pretty good guy except he's a republican and cant run the local government for shiiit....so now that I think of it he's not much better than Mayor Barry or whatever his name was

How do you tell them apart (besides that the drig dealers are better dressed?)

2msacras 2005-09-08 01:13 AM

the drug dealer (who I think might be kind of big time) drives an esclade...the mayor drives an old infinity and the dealer who keeps getting arrested has a junker

Jim 2005-09-08 01:13 PM

So, a new day and yet again, the owner and tenant were here. Along came the police from our town and the town next to us. The owners left and the tenant went into the house and then the police left. I am expecting to see a moving truck or something but nothing yet. I can't believe the tenant actually is staying with the house being condemned and her paying her rent 2 months with bounced checks and 2 months of checks from a closed account.

DC is the only city in the world where you can buy crack while admiring The Capital and many of the politicians have homes on the same block as the dealers. That hasn't changed :)

ecchi 2005-09-09 02:19 PM

The last job I had (working for someone else) ended when the landlord threw the company out for non-payment of rent (they were going steadily bankrupt). At the point when he finally threw us all out and changed the locks, the company had not paid him any rent for about a year. So if your neighbours get rid of their tenants after 4 months they are doing well.

Jim 2005-09-14 09:30 AM

Our cops in this town suck. But, it is a double edged sword. I know I will never be pulled over in this town. Damn, I don't even get parking tickets. But yesterday, we realyzed that our wonderful neighbors moved out of their house but left their dog. We really have stayed out of the fight between the tenents and the owners but there was no way my wife could just let the dog suffer. So, she called the animal people and they said to call the police. The police showed up and asked how we knew the dog was in the house. (We know because the owners told us but since they can't enter the house either, we didn't want to blow them in.) So, she came up with, she knocked on the door and the dog barked. So I turned on my scanner and heard the police say to the station that they didn't believe that there was a dog in the house. Only a matter of hours now before my wife breaks in and we own a new big dog, I fear.

My biggest problem is my quality weed dealer moved away and now the only goods that seem to be around is crack.

Hmmm… can't buy weed but crack is everywhere. Somehow this just doesn't seem right.

Jim 2005-09-14 09:37 AM

My wife used to use a weed dealer online. He actually promoted his product on boards. He would send it and if you thought it was good, you paid the guy by paypal. If you didn't like it, you were supposed to mail it back. She used the guy quite a few times. :)

I think his name was DrGreen but not sure. Vickie was happy with the service and the product :)

Cleo 2005-09-14 10:57 AM

They have been very busy down here wasting out tax dollars on raiding houses that grow hydroponic weed indoors so all that is around is regular weed grown in the dirt. To me it isn't much better then smoking cigarettes, which I don't do, so I've been just doing without. It's like enjoying some good wine but going out and buying cheap screw top stuff, not that I drink wine or enjoy it.
