Wow, it's like Traci Lords all over again - lol!
|
Real smart, admitting you have child porn.
I would think they could have used their heads a little more and came up with an excuse that would not have put their ass’s into serious shit. I bet their lawyer is having a field day trying to save their ass’s now that they admitted to the deed. |
Odd how most people assume that she's underage, when the email said nothing about that, just that she had false docs, which could mean a number of things, each of which would make the model release void.
I'm not saying it's not true, just that the email didn't say either way. |
Yeah you’re right, but if it was just false docs, and if she was/is of age, they would give the reason so no one would think it was an underage issue.
Either way, I think it's stupid as hell sending this email, they could have just as easy said "Due to copyright issue" or "we no longer own the rights" etc and no one would even think it was due to underage content. A general email with only "false docs" is nothing more then a neon light screaming "COME INVESTIGATE US DOJ" $0.02 |

What's funny about this for me is I was just looking at signing up for the TCG program as of last night. Think I'll wait a bit now. |
Wow what is wrong with you people?
The obvious answer is that they just found out she is one of the twelve Cylon fleshbot models. |
Holy crap batman.
I guess that makes me feel better that I only use content that I buy and maintain myself. . |
I have had girls try to pass their sister's info... even though both of them were of age. I think the idea was that if she got caught, the names would never match.
Not all of the girls are honest, and the fact that TCG and it's content suppliers caught it and are dealing with it shows a company that truly has a clue how to handle these things. Is it age related? Who knows. All I see is a company putting on it's boots and taking responsiblity for the mess. Alex |

I would have to agree with RawAlex. If she provided false info and the content is out there the affiliates have the right to know. No reason to candy coat the release with false information.

Here's the article
LOS ANGELES – The FBI is reportedly investigating allegations that a performer using the name Mieke Michele Jackson was underage while working in the adult industry.
Jackson was allegedly using the stage names Seduction and Chantae. The Free Speech Coalition sent out an alert advising all adult professionals to remove content associated with any performers named Seduction or Chantae and “seal it for attorney review and consultation.” The age of the actress at the time she performed in adult films and how many films she appeared in remains unconfirmed. The FSC also stated that Jackson has in her possession government-issued IDs to prove her alleged age, specifically, a California DMV-issued ID, with the date of birth listed as July 22, 1982, and a social security card, both with the name Mieke Michele Jackson. "We have no knowledge as to the validity of the IDs in her possession," the FSC said. Industry attorney Greg Piccionelli told XBiz that he had been contacted earlier by a party who was contacted by the FBI regarding Jackson. Piccionelli confirmed that Jackson is African-American, but was unsure of her stage name Seduction or subsequent stage names. “There appears to be a person who has done some photography and video in the industry known as Mieka Jackson who seems to have presented false identification and we’re looking into it,” Piccionelli said. “This could very well be another Traci Lords,” he said, referring to the 1980s actress who worked in more than 100 adult films while underage. Piccionelli added that the Jackson case could possibly have ramifications for the FSC lawsuit with the Justice Department if in fact Jackson was a minor when she performed in adult videos. “There is a chance we might be seeing 2257 inspections based around this person,” he said |

Now they are openly warning everyone involved. I would much prefer them sendinf out a warning so that affiliates can protect themselves instead of sweeping it under the carpet. What would you have them do? |
Agreed. I wouldnt want that content sitting on my server not having had fair warning.
I would think webmasters would have less of a case if they got nailed for it and tried suing TCG. |

All I see is that someone underage somehow obtained illegal documentation. The focus on this should have nothing to do with 2257 issues but does raise a question as to how the illegal documents were obtained. |

:D a new battlestar tonight :D |

If she obtained valid government issued IDs just like Tacy Lords then it's a good example of how 2257 does nothing to protect minors. On the other hand if they accepted something silly such as a school ID then it could give 2257 some traction. |
got that email about a week+ ago and again today luckily never used it (content that is) strange situation tho, hope all involved will be ok :) sounds like some kind of set-up the timing and all but i am sure thats just me :D would be a great dateline nbc story etc.... to push 2257 now that they are losing. :( hope thats just my paranoia lol.

I think the judge ruling on the validity of 2257 regs would have to look at this case as an example and agree with the FSC that the regulations do not and can not do what the DoJ claims for them (to prevent underage models from appearing in porn shoots), and therefore the claim that 2257 creates an "unnecessary burden" on producers and sponsors is a valid one. |

I wish the law would look more at intent soemtimes rather than these black and white distinctions that soemtimes fly in the face of common sense. If anything does happen to them over this, I think they deserve some support. |
