The Rugby
Congratulations to the Aussies. I've never seen such a solid performance on a rugby pitch. :)
|
That it was Urb.. :D
It was good to see them put some phases together, win their lineouts(and a few kiwi ones), and rattle the Kiwi's from the get go.. Who you tipping France or England? hehe Stirling Mortlock for PM |roses| DD |
It was a marvellous victory :)
Do you guys think Oz will be favourites to win after such a kick ass performance? It really was one of the best and most intelligent games I've ever seen. |
Don't think so Matt.. the great French unknown is in the way....
We know the poms are good but beatable.. but the Frogs... ??? They may be the team to beat.. we will know more tonight;) DD |
So the Aussies are to play the Poms then. :D
I hope it rains, coz us Poms play better on a wet pitch. |
A travesty, plain and simple. If the ref hadn't cheated and disallowed what was obviously a try then things would have been different.
Hello all! |waves| |
Looks like the French wanted to go home early..:( Was a bit of a average game...
The English were boring, yeah it was wet.. but they could have at least tried to score a try... ..and the freaking crowd... If I never hear "Swing low" again it will be too soon... We gonna put some dollars on it Urb.:)) Wallabies to win! DD |
The poms seem to be slightly favoured to win at the moment, but with a home crowd advantage and going for 2 in a row, I've definately got my money on the aussies :)

Hehehe Hey Rors, good to see you here..
Sorry about that one mate... there's always 2007..|bananna| DD |
Thanks for the weather DD :-) I thought these dry hard grounds weren't supposed to suit us??? LOL
Funny how the two sides that are supposedly out of form and very beatable are the ones that make it through to the final..... I guess it's all about being able to step up to the big occasions. The way the Aussies played was magnificent - the way you disrupted and dismantled Spencer stopped NZ from getting thier backs into the game..... and NZ appears to have forgotten that if you don't win the forwards battle, it makes it nigh on impossible for the backs to shine. England did very well. The conditions just weren't conducive to running rugby and the French seemed to lose the plot more than a bit. I wonder what was being said in the scrums??? ;) |
DangerDave :)
I really think the Aussies will win. |
I was wrong.
England won the Rugby World Cup!!!! :D |priesthol |
Damn! Shit Fuk! |sad|
Was a cracking game Urb..... Shame there had to be a loser :) DD |

Bah! :D
Too bad about losing the Rugby league 3- 0 |bananna| England leading in the last 5 mins in every game only to lose each one.... |roses| DD |
What a fantastic game of rugby :) Now to get Clive to coach the England cricket side ;-)
I'll say one thing about you Aussies (as the Rugby League proves) - you just won't bloody well lie down and bloody well give up!!! |

IMO the aussies actually played pretty poorly, but Flattley's nerves of steel kept em in the game.
Was a damn exciting match to watch and actually quite a pity Wilkinson scored that last goal, it would have been nice to have play sudden death for a while even if the end result was the same. Watch out in 4 years all you poms, and at least we'll always have the cricket to fall back on! :) Matt |
