Root Domain Free Sites... who allows them?
 

I am going to be submitting 30-40 free sites, on the root of domains. They don't fit the regular LL rules.. they have pics which open on html pages with a banner (top) and navigation menu (bottom), they have 20 recips to LLs and they have other hardlink trades on the index (under 10).

Obviously benefits are high PR backlink, lots of traffic, no shitty doorway pages, you'll get two links to your site (one on index recip, and one on main page) and there's 40 of em, not a one time thing.

Here's an example of what im talking about. But this is not a template, each one will be completely different.

I am going to be linking to these sites from my own network, so I can already assure a minimum of PR3, but I'm hoping they'll all be PR4-5 with the help of the LLs who will list them.

I'm looking for PR3+ cat page LLs.

PS: Just a little FYI, they'll all be teen/softcore/babe/amateur/model sites.

Freesites on the root of a domain aren't a problem, the example you gave is (assuming you're going to submit that "freesite").

Just to sum up some issues:
- way to many links on every page
- less than 10 images on your gallery pages
- your pictures open on .html pages

Free sites in a root domain are likely not a problem (though I don't own a link list) but perhaps not a good use of the root. Why not put your free sites in directories and then use the root as a hub. The hub then will link to all your free sites. Use 1 outbound link per freesite page to link to the hub. That then creates your circle of porn.

Well again, incase I wasn't clear.. I'm not looking for critiques or suggestions on how to improve the site. I am just wondering who would be willing to accept sites like this on their LLs - as is. These types of freesites, although they don't conform with the standard rules, do have benefits. If you are a Link List owner who sees and appreciates the benefits of sites like these, then please post here so I can add your LL to the list.

As long as they stay clean I'll be happy to list them. I'm all for SEO. I should mention that I never list these type of sites without prior discussion with the webmaster. If you choose to submit them to me, just make sure you leave me a note in the "comments" section of the submit form so I know it's you :)

I do remember why I skipped over this...it was because I didn't see a problem with free sites on the domain's root.

20 recips with 10 extra text links seems a bit too much. I do still allow pics on html pages, but the navigation links with all the extra stuff with them pretty much break my rules, as do all the sponsor links on the main page. There's also not enough pics per page.

It is an interesting concept, but it breaks too many of my rules :(

20 recips with 10 extra links = 30 outbound links. thats still more then enough to pass on some good link pop from my site to yours.
With these sites because they're on domains and take much more time to make them the submitter has to make sure it's worth his while financially to make them. The extra links at the bottom of the index provide me with PR and little traffic. hardly a burden on the LLs im submitting to. The navigational links at the bottom of the pic pages are just to help distribute PR amongst the internal pages.

What I tried to do with the linking structure of these sites is create something that sends traffic and PR to the LLs that list me, while also giving links to the sites whom im using content. But primarily these sites are made to get Search Engine traffic and to spread PR amongst those who are involved. Oh, the other thing, is that there is 8 pictures per gallery and 5 galleries in total which makes for 40 pictures. If LL owners have a problem with that, I would be willing to rework it so there's less galleries and more pictures per gallery. I just thought this setup was more beneficial to everyone involved.

If you think about 30-40 of these sites, they would be very beneficial to anyone who would list them. the main thing would be to look at them as a link exchange rather then a freesite listing.

Traffic from both index and main page
30-40 of these sites, so not a one time thing

Cons
More outbound links then normal
Surfers see more ads

If you think about the cons, a PR4-5 page with 30 outbound links is still a better backlink then a PR2 page with 12-16 outbound links.

Surfers see more links on the pages, some of which being sponsor ads. But I think it's a reasonable request to put a few extra links on the pages considering the extra effort/thought/time/money that goes into these sites. In the end, I'm not trying to rip off the surfers nor the LLs who list me, I'm just trying to make sure this is a profitable venture.

Here's the problem with it breaking my rules - I'd either have to change my rules, which I really don't want to do OR I'd have to make a special exception for your sites, which would lead to others wanting the exemption & that's something that I don't really want to get in the habit of. Pretty much everyone follows the rules...except me :)

I see your point, and thats valid. My thinking was it wasn't that large of a problem to make an exception when you saw the benefits. Most LL owners have just said "aslong you content me beforehand im okay with it". But yeah, I understand your point and thats cool. :)

I echo Mr. Yum. Feel free to submit them to my link lists too. I'm all for SEO optimization also. Glad to see the model/softcore/amateur too, make them pay for hardcore, that is what I say. |thumb

I get so busy I don't go on boards often, this is the only one I post on anymore, except one other board where I posted some pics of my cat yesterday, lol. Just had to they were all posting THEIR cats.

MadHatter checks boards for me and lets me know if something major is happening to check out. Lately I've been in the "build a free site a day and submit" mode, plus working on a non-adult site for a client, plus changing out sponsor links on link list, plus trying to sell our house, plus.... lol you know how it goes. :D
