Old Toys

So I went into our attic yesterday and found my mother's stash of all my old toys :) It looks like she kept all of them. I have a complete Johnny Lightning set, Rockem Sockem Robots and a bunch of baseball cards. And, I found my complete train set. I spent hours as a kid building a village with moutains, bridges and stuff...it's all there. It felt like Christmas :)

Hehe reminds me of the other day. I was going through old boxes and found all my lego collections. I spent hours as a little kid building and having zany adventures with that stuff. Unfortunatly todays/futures generations of kids all sit in front of the xbox, tv, ect etc.

Jim you lucky devil, I would give anything to see some of my old stuff again. Major Matt Mason, Hot Wheels Sizzlers (complete with battery charging station shaped like a gas pump) and of course my old electric football set featuring the Jets v Colts. Damn I miss that stuff.

Damn Jim, that's too cool! |cool|

Makes me wonder what's hidden away in the basement at my mom's house...:)

I keep on reading the title of this thread and thinking about the kind of old toys that you really wouldn't want to come across or touch if you did.

When my mom passed I found my toy chest from when I was very young. I painted it and turned it into a bench at the end of my bed. If anything I would have liked to have found would have been my Raggedy Ann doll that I had.

Oh, I had a Raggedy Ann doll that I loved so much that her stuffing came out, Cleo. Bled right out of her forehead, it did.

Jim, that is an awesome, awesome find. Old toys rock. So many of them I wish they would offer again. Simple things, like a paint by number set. I loved doing those.

aww man, I was a rebound fiend. I knew all the angles. I went thru several sets of lincoln logs too. My Rockem Sockem Robots were not worth anyone keeping by the end though.

The vibrating football game. Redskins vs. 49ers :) Rockem Sockem all the way! Lego was king for sure. I always end up giving that stuff away and I bet they never appreciated half as much as I would right now.
