Nicholas Negroponte, chairman and founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Labs, has been outlining designs for a sub-$100 PC.

Professor Negroponte predicts there could be 100 million to 150 million shipped every year by 2007.

How are they going to filter the web to exclude pupil's access to adult sites?
Will this mean that the rules for adult sites will be tighten?

It's a great idea but according to the article they're still designing the PC. When a country designs the infrastructure it's easy for them to install filtering. Countries like China, Singapore and Malaysia filter sites and the filters are not expensive.

I think that's just "digital" so all those non-digital channels that look like complete shit on a decent TV will be forced to buy better camera's :)
