Is it fine to promote site1 with watermarked pics from site2 ? Of course site1 and site2 would be from the same sponsor and the sponsor would allow this.

Would any LL owners who accept sponsor content have any objections?

As long as you promote another site from the same sponsor you'd be fine IMO.
But using pics that say pe. "Big Dick In Tight Ass.com" to promote a site that's called "Tender Loving.com" might not be so good for conversions.

Can you post a URL for me to look at?

I forgot to state that the sites would be the same niche :)

Sorry, I don't have any free sites build like that... at least yet.

So let's add that it's the same niche sites and the watermarks are just normal size text: "domain.com"

As long as the review knows that both sites are owned by the same sponsor, you'll be ok. If not, you may have some difficulty.

Exactly - I don't know what program manages what sites, so unless I see the site that's on the pics being promoted, I tend to just decline the submit.

That's the big issue. If the reviewer doesn't already know both sites are owned by the same company, it's a pretty good way to get declined. A lot of reviewers don't have the time to track down ownership of those images.

I just ran into this with a regular submitter a couple days ago. I did try to get to the affiliate site to check ownership...turns out the affiliate site is down. I spoke with my submitter and he confirmed that in fact the sites in question had the same ownership and they had approved his using one to promote the other.

However, had this not been a regular submitter...that would have been a decline. Personally, don't think I'd ever use mis-matched watermarks period.

Thanks for the answers. In this case I think it would be wise to inform the reviever about the common origin of the pics in the "notes/comments" field... I hope it would be enough :)

Not with me - that's the same as putting in there that you own the domain that the pics are being hotlinked from - no one has time to verify all these things.

Ok, so it's not worth it... good to know this.
