Link-O-Rama get google penalty?
|
No penalty...and all should be well with the next update.
You should read thru a couple of the Google threads on this & many other boards - I'm not the only one that fell off Google's grid - but thanks for letting everyone know about my problems - I sure to appreciate it |thumb |
I think it's due to the this issue:

I'm not a member, so I can't read that thread, but I have a pretty good idea what happened & I'm sitting tight :)

So you mean that there's no posts on there form official employees of Google & it's all just speculation?

I respect your right to hold back on any thoughts you may have... this is a business and you might not want to give out any information to your 'competitors'. But in the same breath, this is a community, and you're a leader of it.. I wish we could see more open sharing of ideas and discussions so perhaps others who have been affected by this might take solace or atleast try to understand what might be happening to them.. "I have a pretty good idea what happened & I'm sitting tight" just seems really "stand-offish" to me like you're not willing to help others, or put your theory infront of others. Anyway, I don't mean to take a jab at you GG, I don't think anyone should be forced to share their views on any topic. Just a bit dissapointing to see a leader of a community be so tight guarded. |
I'm surprised, why L-o-R got penalty? This is one of the oldest LL's and it have inbound links from very reuptable resources. Today, nobody can't get such perfect links as in the middle of 90's. GG, what you do with your site last month? Something extra there?

See....this is how all this bullshit speculaton starts.
I have done no major changes since Google's last update, but for whatever reason, they reverted back to the listings that I had 8 months ago. I can tell this by looking at what pages are indexed, because some of them are no longer there (and Google removed the links to them 6 months or so ago) IMHO - or my speculation - there was a database rollback that was noticed by sites like me, but not noticed by others because they had the same listings 8 months ago. I have my fingers crossed that my speculation is correct & that things will go back to normal with the next update. Please feel free to duscuss my speculations with others, even to the point of referring them to this thread, so they can treat my words as if they came from Google's womb |thumb |
haha, thanks for sharing GG :)
