Your ol' pal Earl has decided to kick his niche-specific recip buttons in the ass and go with a solitary recip with just a single link to his root index. Fuckin' A!

Anywho, the new and not-so-sexy recip is on Earl's Fucking Submit Page and he's left the old recips up for those of you who believe they're better for SE performance or whatever.

Oh yeah - Earl doesn't give a shit which you use. Just because the new recip is up, it doesn't mean that you have to update your recip tables. Earl's just happy to be in your thoughts. ;) He won't reject you for using the old recips. (He'll only reject you for not having a sense of humor.)

For those of you building your own text recip tables, just link to http://www.filthyearl.com with title="Filthy Earl's Filthy Fucking Links" using whatever clever anchor text that has the name Fithly Earl in it, such as "Filthy Earl's Porn", "Filthy Earl Loves You", "Fuck Filthy Earl", or even "Earl is a filthy fuck". Whatever. Could just say "Filthy Earl".

Like in the old times. No more niche recips is a good news. Definitely i'm going to add you to my submit list, it's easy to do now.

Good move UW - I havent seen one bad effect from doing it 6 months ago and it sure beats having to go back and maintain those everytime you add a cat. and Google seems to love it

I blame Bill! The man is a good influence. I started to think about why I have category-specific recips. Of course, it's because all new link lists are modeled after the old lists and most of them have a gazillion recips. Then I started to think about certain lists that are associated with certain people who are in the know with search engines and noticed something... I've said too much. |cool|

Allright this thread has convinced me to accept submissions with a general recip :)

That being said, I've also decided to accept a general recip for my link list and my reasons are as follows.

1) I'm new, so I'm not going to take a major hit even if this is a horrible fucking idea.

2) I like my front page. In fact most of my traffic passes through it. My front page currently lists the newest and most popular free sites listed. So, I'd like to get as much traffic to my front page, as possible. If someone has a hankering for a niche they can still get there through my front page.

3) When building free-sites I fucking hated having tons of recip tables for different niches I wanted to pimp. And if I don't show love for the free-site submitter by making things easier for them then how can I expect them to show some love back to me.

4) Useless did it and he's an ultra genius!

5) Ignore point 4.

6) Jesus told me to do it.

I streamlined my rules set while I was tinkering with my recip. Now grab that new recip you heathens! |pimpin
