what's the difference between Site URL and Recip URL?

I've been doing this for a while. (and by 'while' I mean years, but don't wanna sound like a fool for asking)

On LL's I see "put us on your warning page above the enter link..."

I consider my warning page, my site. That's where I want the surfer to start so that's my site URL... correct? |huh

So then if they want me to add their links to my warning page which is also my recip page it's always the same link.

Doesn't everyone do it that way? Or am I the only one? I always feel weird submitting the same link twice. And it's very important to me to comply with all rules.

So far I haven't had a problem, but I was just curious.

Its not a problem at all.. place em ABOVE the enter link where your recip is and submit the same page as site url and recip url.
If you want to submit to more lls (you should keep 12-15 recips on each recip page) just mirror the site's htmls. Create folder and put all html there and dont forget to link like with "../" before each picture ;)
I would recommend you to place recips on index.html page so your sites will look like
site1/folder1/
site1/folder2/
but not like
site1/folder1/warning.html
this will help you to cpmply with ANY taste

Thanks. :)

Your example is exactly how I'm doing it now. I even built a really intricate set of tables to help me with adding recip table and helping keep track of all my submits. Simple, just time consuming. :)

I think this is a bit of a hold over from free sites a few years ago. There was a time that submitters would sometimes put recips on their main pages...ocassionally even at the tops of galleries. Not really 100% sure why this fell out of favor, or even if lists have stopped accepting sites built that way. But, I sure haven't seen that build style in a long time.

Yeah may be old fashion but works best right now
if site has recips on the top gallery pages...then it is thumb gallery :)

Yes, that's where it originated. In the early early days (about 8-9 years ago) they were happy to get people to link back at all so they asked where your link was. Then people started requiring link back so submitters created link pages. No one really liked being on a sites link pages because no surfers would go to those pages so then the question was there to make it easier to delete those submitters. Now that the process has matured a better question might be an "if your link back is different from your main page please enter URL"

That's a brief history oh how nd why :)

Also remember that some types of sites listed by LLs might well have the recip on a different page from the linked page. I allow online stores, for example, to put a link back on a "links" page...so my script needs both fields entered. I check that the link URL and the recip URL match for free sites. In many cases the scripts are designed to allow a link back from a different page, even if the LL rules state that 100% of links back must come from the page linked to.

It's also a good way to trip up the autosubmitters :)

I think there is no need to check links pages of adult stories with scrip...Once reviewer already did..And I dont think 2 urls are mandatory..
I need only one to save time of my submitters who still fill-out by hands.(besides they will never trick me with diff urls :) )
