MS Outlook Express question
This past weekend I was looking for an email and jaYMan was telling me to hit all these “short cuts” to find it faster and somehow I got all my folders looking like this
http://www.katvixen.com/mail.gif All the emails are categorized by the first email rather then when I received them and it is a total bitch finding emails now. I did a search on google and found nothing how to reveres this, I also tried to fix it on my own by randomly hitting “ctrl + keys” and still can not get it the way I want it which is all emails in their own listed by the date I receive them. Anyone know how to fix this? |
Can't see your screenshot, and this may be a stupid question, but did you try clicking the received title above the email window?
|
Yes I tried that, but the emails are still listed under the first email, so if someone replies to me 3 weeks after the first email, I have to scroll down looking for it.
And why can you not see the screen cap? It works for me and others I've had test it. |
try this:
on the menu at the top: view, current view, uncheck view by conversation |
Well two things...first is you seem to have grouped messages on...sorta like a newsgroup thread. To remove that simply in the main toolbar go to view > current view > and uncheck group messages by conversation..
Second thing in the inbox window click on the toolbar on the word received, that will make the default view by received date rather then by from who sent it. If the list is backwards from the way you like it (either with the newest at the top or at the bottom) simple click on received again and it will reverse the sort |
if you're asking how to make them not be threaded, try, view/current view/ and uncheck the "group messages by conversation"
looks like meatpounder beat me too it. |
lol...missed the reply while I was typing |dizzy|
