Simple text recips to LLs...
 

Hey guys,

I noticed a growing trend in using simple text links as recips to LLs on freesites lately, which I tried to copy as it's so much easier than the "2 links but no other 3 plus links in one recip unless it's a double backwards table with triple marqueed links" thing.

I submitted a site recently with basic text recips (that go back to the right category/pages too) but haven't had an approval email from anyone, I usually get listed on some like Penisbot!

Is the reason for being declined simply the recips? I'll make them more elaborate if LLs are being damn fussy, but I DO often see that sort of system used on other listed freesites on places like Jay's and LOR.

The size might be a problem, since that is the smallest text on the site - plus your pages all scroll at 800 :(

And while most linklists accept plain text recips, many still want their category recips listed. And at least one of the link-lists on that page I'm looking at doesn't want their recips messed with at all.

Redesigning the pages now.

Didn't realise they scrolled at 800 seeing as I had the pages set to be tables of 760px width... dropping it to 740.

Which linklist(s) should I remove then? I'll make links underneath each recip so they're in the format:

LL name (links to main site)
LL category (links to relevant category)

Making the links bigger too :)

Alright, I've updated the site dropping the width down to 740px and changing the recips around...

any good now guys?

Looks OK now, I'd list it...but I get no love from your recip table :D

Much better. The only way you're going to find out which LL's don't accept the custom text is to try to submit and watch carefully. Good luck... |thumb

I submit to those lists and have zero problems getting listed with all text recips :)
