Free-sites with hidden text to spam SE's
Do other link-lists accept free-sites with hidden (same color as background) text in a vain attempt to spam search engines?
Is this a black-listable offense? A little guidance here please. Love Preacher |pimpin |
I do not.
|
I doubt most would list it... and besides, SEs have been smart to that for a very long time.
|
That's a blacklistable offense with me. I've seen hidden links as well, and I don't need to be linking to pages that are asking the SEs to blacklist them :)
|
Probably, i do. As far as i didn't try to find hiden texts. SE spam on free sites like that, can't hurt to LL, so accept or decline depend on quality of site only.

Nope...that's a one time warning with me. Decline mail goes out telling them that crap doesn't work anymore and I wont' link to it. If they continue submitting sites with the offending text, yep...it's a blacklisting.
Similar, but not hidden text. How do the other list owners feel about people spamming in their metas? I see completely non relevant keywords listed on a pretty regular basis. But, also see the same word used over and over again in the keywords meta. Think the last I read on the subject was not to use the same word/term more than 3 times. Apparently, many free site builders missed that day of seo school :D |
Linking to bad sites can get you in trouble with the SE's.

Hi Mr Yum :) - I refuse sites for spammy metas (with a refusal mail).
I blacklist for hidden text / hidden links (no refusal mail cos I have a fucking big warning against this in my rules). Ronnie is right, linking to "bad neighbourhoods" can get you penalised by Google. |
