Good Thrusday Morning to all
 

Again, I am so sore I could hardly get out of bed. I am really going to try to do nothing today like was going to try yesterday. No matter what though, I am going downstairs to at least make construction drawings for my kids to install our new oven.

My brother in law is coming over to hook up the electricity so that is one thing I don't have to worry about. But, having my boys re piping the gas pipe for the stove top is a little scarry :)

Oh shit...I will be downstairs since I have a doctors appointment. I will be out much more than in today.

Up early to give a ride to the woman who is staying with me since she showed up with a car with no gas in it after the hurricane. She works at the Galleria Mall which is open and on generator power and one mile from my house.

Last night her two children and I took a walk through my neighborhood. It was so dark that all you could make out was the shape of objects other then the houses on generators. We walked over two miles, very relaxing.

I have enough fuel for another four or five days and I'm hoping by that time some gas stations around me start opening, without lines, to get more fuel since I'm guessing that it will be at least two weeks before the downed power lines behind my house are repaired.

As long as I don't run out of fuel, ADSL stays on, and the weather stays cool we are actually very comfortable and pretty much just living normally.

My car really needs to go into the shop but nothing is open. Maybe I'll get lucky and whatever it was that got wet will work correctly when it dries out, not sure. In the mean time I have to pull over each time it errors and reset the computer.

Going to pay the two boys that are staying with me to cleanup my backyard today. The woman who lives across the street from me has also been paying them to cleanup her yard.

Anyone need $54,000,000? Yes $54 million is what the lottery went for in Canada last night, 1 winner. I know it is not as much as some on the US but in Canada it was the biggest ever and it is paid all at once, no delays, and NO taxes. Yes it is tax free money.

I didn't even buy a ticket. LOL

Time to get back to work. :)

man oh man Cleo.. let's hope there is some movement soon. My 4 of my kids are in hollywood and pompano but we can't get in touch with them because their cell phone have died from lack of charging I guess.

and now another storm? phuck.

not much happening in Vegas.. i'm pouring Candles today so i can restock my store.

I'm with T-Mobile and my phone reads No Network. All the PCS networks seem to be down too. I've heard that some other carriers are working but many aren't. Towers were blown down, no power to power the towers, things like that. I'm surprised that my land line and backup ADSL is still working.

I have some out of the house things to deal with today, so the day will be broken up some.

Which isn't a bad thing, really, considering the state of my shoulder.

Need to do some baking this morning, so I can send the eldest munchkin a care package. He's still not well adjusted to college life. :(

More work this afternoon, then time with my youngest. He has karate tonight, so that will be another trip out of the house.

Too much of the 3D world makes me want my blankie.

Nothing at all... I don't know if I mentioned that my Father and I had a disagreement about his Girlfriend. It seems that the strange things started with that rift. The day my father and I made the peace, the spookie things stopped.

Since I had the nut surgery, my weekend plans are to hopefully watch my boys install an oven where there has never been an oven :) My brother in law will be helping so, I'm not as nervous as before.

I'm pissed! I pretty much threw my back out. Nothing makes one feel older then something like this. Oh well, better my back then my nuts! ;)

Stayed up watching the World Series again & that's a good excuse for my late start today :)

Day 4 of being alone (The Bitch comes home Saturday) & so far I've managed to remain in the house for the most part, but I'll be forced out into the unwashed masses later as I have banking & shopping to do - I really do hate people :D

Last night around 8pm, there were lights a few blocks away. I had hoped that I would wake to the sound of the A/C kicking in, but, alas.

Neighbors are starting to get itchy -- reminds me of that movie 'The Trigger Effect'.

Hoping to get a bit of work done today on a few things that have been lingering on while calculating fuel reserves.
