It was the smart thing to do since she had little chance of making it past the congressional committee no chance of getting the Republican thumbs up much less the entire Senate. I’m not sure if this is good or bad since he may now nominate someone that has actually bombed an abortion clinic.

This could go either way, maybe now george is pissed off at the right wing and may give a more liberal a chance.....

It would seem that Rove has been a bit pre-occupied with other things to allow his bitch to make such a silly nomination. It is interesting that this happened today of all days. The CIA leak is no longer the top story of the day.

I think you've nailed it on the head. Every time this administration is in trouble the terror alert rises or there is a scare or something like this happens to distract people.
