Google and redirects
I have noticed google is indexing 302/301 redirects as if they are part of the site that's redirecting.
Example I'm redirecting using mod_rewrite to redirect to my own domain first (to a dynamic URL) and after that use a normal redirect header to send them to my sponsor.. I'm happy with it, brings some nice SE traffic to my sponsors FHG's. But why the hell does it do this? Bug? |
According to wikipedia.org it is a bug:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank Under header: "False or spoofed PageRank" |
There has been a lot of talk about this recently after a particular website faked a pr10.
They got noticed when they out-ranked a Google employee on a particular search string by '302ing' to his blog! I read about it here |
LMAO
Oh shit its so good to see google with Visage Au Omelette! |pokefun| Google!
Will change my 302 immediately! |

I just can't believe it's a true bug. It would be easy to fix, right? |
